Description
E’lo and his people travel the endless sand sea, moving from one underground oasis to the next. Ever searching.
Their hope lies with Jeem. A miracle plant with the ability to adapt to changes in its environment within hours. E’lo himself carries a colony on his back. It is his people’s only source of water and food.
E’lo is a seeker. Expendable. He roams ahead of the caravan searching for new sources of biological matter for Jeem to adapt to. Each addition to his colony runs the risk of cutting E’lo off from supplies.
But hope springs eternal. Somewhere in this uncharted ocean they may find the key to saving their world.

Firstly, although it's quite short, this novel is extremely well constructed: the action flows smoothly, and the world is clear, or at least allows you to understand everything quickly. It starts with a character who is already established, leaving us with a few mysteries (the names of certain creatures, customs, etc.). But that's what makes the story gripping, trying to put everything in place while following the story.
Speaking of the story, the characters are extremely well written, the way the action is described is gripping and without you realising it you find yourself at the end of the story.
In my opinion, 'Grain in the Ocean' deserves a little of your time, if only to discover a little of the universe it contains.

This was my first comment and review of a novel here, so I hope you enjoy it. (And yes I've given it 5 stars everywhere, try to change my mind)
