As overpopulation strains the lands, goblins seek to seize power by breaking the ultimate taboo and attempting to open the white tower. Meanwhile, on the opposite side of the continent, humans are being chosen by the tower seemingly at random, their purpose unknown. In response, humanity searches for a vanguard, seemingly chosen by fate to confront the looming threat.

In the dim light of a secluded room, Gant lays his injured friend on the cold ground. He surveys the bleak surroundings, the source of all their troubles.
