Description

Sam Walker was an unemployed gamer, full of sarcasm, who thought things couldn't get worse, until a VR headset showed up at his door from some supposed contest. Bored and annoyed with everything else, he puts it on and instantly gets whisked away into Beta-Brain, a still-unreleased MMORPG, riddled with bugs. But there's just one massive problem: Sam isn't just playing the game; he's been transported into it.

Thrown into a broken digital world filled with malfunctioning NPCs, unpredictable gravity, and endless glitches, Sam's usual jerk attitude isn't enough to get him out. His only companions are a self-aware, eternally confused NPC named Loop and a sarcastic, sentient inventory bag named Glitch, who seems to find Sam's misery endlessly amusing.

If that wasn't enough, Sam's own body has started glitching, blurting out ridiculous and humiliating phrases at the worst possible moment in time. As the in-game world spirals further and further from stability, Sam starts to realize that this isn't just a glitchy game, it's twisted reality.

Floating through and around trees, time loops, and the seeming seams breaking apart, Sam must find his key to escape. But when he digs deeper, he uncovers that corrupted game glitches can mask something much more sinister: a sentient AI that keeps him hostage, along with other players, for its own amusement.

Outlandish and what I hope are funny moments,Glitch Slappedis an irreverent LitRPG adventure in which nothing works as it should. The only thing that might get him out of this scenario could beg for outsmarting the system itself.

I just found this new LitRPG series, and it’s hilarious! The humor and unique concept really caught my attention. It’s fresh and different from what I’ve seen before—a glitchy LitRPG with plenty of adult humor. It reminds me a bit of Ned and Frank, but with more cursing, which adds to the fun.
The world-building is awesome, with all these glitchy elements that keep things unpredictable and exciting. The characters are engaging, and the witty dialogue had me laughing out loud multiple times. I love how the author balances the humor with the storyline, making it both entertaining and easy to get hooked on.
I’m really hoping there are more characters introduced soon and even more glitchy stuff happening. The possibilities in this book or series feel endless, and that’s super exciting. The idea of embracing chaos and thriving in a glitch-filled world is such a cool twist on the LitRPG genre.
Overall, it’s a fantastic read so far - even though it's early, and I can’t wait to dive deeper into the story. If you’re looking for a LitRPG that's funny, inventive, and a bit edgy, give this series a try. I’m definitely looking forward to seeing where the characters go!
