A family of thirty-one Earth refugees escapes to an uncharted planet, where they embark on an adventure of survival, discovery, creativity, and civilization-building. On Dust -- a land of strange creatures, alien landscapes, and a beauty unlike that of Earth -- they set out create their new home.

Note: I have used the "hard sci-fi" tag because of the straightforward, encyclopedic style of this story (there is focus on descriptions, names, lists, etc.)--not because all of the science is well-explained. Think Swiss Family Robinson, but on a new planet.
