- RainmeterRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Alright, as someone who's breezed through literally all the chapters in one sitting (if you don't count the first 3 chapters which I read before bed yesterday), I'll have to say that this is the kind of story that makes you turn the pages. While that doesn't necessarily mean it's perfect, it means that it's engaging and the chapter length honestly adds on to that factor rather than taking anything away. Overall, it's a story you would totally read but not something that you'll really admire, if you get where I'm coming from.
Grammar:
The Grammar is pretty decent. While the author makes the occasional typo, it doesn't take away much from the story. Some weird word choices, but aside from that, it's easily glossed over. Would have given it a 4 otherwise, but the story keeps you reading.
Style:
The author likes to progress things, and that's just about... the only issue, which is something of a two-edged sword. While yes, it's good for what the author is trying to do, it can be a turn off for many --I just happen to be one of said many that are turned off by it. There goes half a star. Now, the other half is due to the confusing word choices and the dialogues being a bit... weird.
Character:
Nothing special in this regard. Some characters come off as a bit too rushed, but that's mostly because I prefer reading about the development of several characters rather than a single one (even if they are thrown away after). The MC develops, but the others are... eeeh, not really.
My biggest issue with the characters is that we aren't hinted to the character's past aside from him sounding like a somewhat old man that's had success at the start of the story. Even a cursory reference is alright if it's a tad bit deeper, but alas, I think the story's rating hinges on whether someone will want to read the story further (at which point his past is somewhat unveiled) to understand the MCs actions or not, which from the other reviews seems unlikely; so I'd suggest the author to add som - VeldorRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This a great read. It has some flaws but all in all it stands to become something great. The characters and the world are okay, so is the dialogue but there's just something here that makes it very enjoyable. Feels like you are waiting for it to go super sayain
- CosmicWhisperRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0A well-written story that moves your heart .
the characters are well written, the story flows well everything is just right with this book . Overall i would say it is one of the best books I have read in a while . really sad that it ended so fast though I think it was good that the author did not try to lengthen the book by drawing it out - Invictus21Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0I was planning to take a quick peek at this novel and before I knew it I was already at chapter 18. That should probably tell how engaging the story is. The author got me hooked from the get-go and I am very curious to know how the story will progress. Definitely, something you should check out if you are still thinking about it
Style: I liked the way the author has presented the story. The way the usual blue boxes (yellow in this case) have been used is also very good. The multiple options presented to the MC are also very good and keep you engaged.
Grammar: I haven't noticed any grammatical errors in the novel so far. So all good on that
Story: The story pulled me in as I mentioned earlier. I just worry that it doesn't get trapped in the same endless cycle of a similar situation over and over again, which I have noticed in other novels. But since it just starting, I have high hopes this will be different and unique in its own way
Character: I liked the character very much. The way he has been portrayed is very good. Have high hopes for his future as well. I wish we could know more about the side characters. I guess we might know more about them in the future chapters. - Lonleyguy58Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0The book has a good story and the character is interesting and I love the concept of goblin MC starting with a tribe and raising them up to greatnees I don't see errors but I'm not that good at writing to know if there is I hope the keeps up the good work and doesn't let this story drop
- Nomad1791Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0Ok you have a reincarnated story here, straight to a goblin but not regular nasty stupid trash goblin but a tribe of smarter but weaker than a normal weak goblin. That's right even weaker than regs so already we starting at a fun place in my book. The author has real talent and the story flows really well just kinda sucks you right in. The mc in a word is trash. Like I'd kick him off a cliff just to make the world a better place but he is slowly becoming a better goblin probably way better than he ever was as a human. To sum it up without spoilers there's not much here and what is has a lot of promise of good things to come. Worth reading 👍
- The_divine_oracleRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5Style: The book is well structured and is connected through a logical sequence of events. The interface system and the growth of the MC are fleshed out in a really nice way. The prose flows naturally and depicts the happening in an accurate manner. One thing the author can work on is the fights. They aren't immersive and don't accurately portray the tension.
Grammar: I didn't notice any mistakes when it comes to grammar.
Story: Development wise, the story is smooth and manages to keep you on the hook. It is interesting to see the goblins struggle and try to establish themselves. The major drawback is the lack of depth in the world. While reading this, a lot of questions popped into my head. What is the dominant power in the world? Where are the goblins currently located? Are the goblins as a race considered to be powerful or weak? The story is still in the beginning stages and there is a lot that can be done in the future chapters, but I feel like giving out tidbits about the world would be better.
Characters: The MC is a well-rounded character with glaring character flaws and genuine positive attributes. While the author has shown how the MC affects the goblin's life, I would also like to see how the goblins affect the protagonist's character. This brings me to my second point, the side-characters do not have any depth, making the influence unidirectional. The author has mentioned that the side-characters will also be undergoing personality development, but I feel like there is no need to wait.
Overall, the story has a lot of potential. If the author can make the world more immersive and the characters more diverse, it has the capability to be a great book. - PillowReaderRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5Where to begin? Let's just get it out of the way and just say it's similar to Re:monster in terms of being based around globinoids. But it's only similar in that regard and isekia troupes.
The story has its own fresh start and the protagonist doesn't seem overpowered, that makes it more fun to follow his adventures as he struggles to survive with his clan. It's really a fun read and I'm really looking forwards to reading more.
The charactsr score doesn't get full marks because the story is always focused on the mc. I will be a dick and slightly critical in saying that, considering its a close community there is more opportunities that author could have explored the side characters a bit more.
The grammar holds up pretty well but I can see some spelling errors or misplaced words here or there. I would just sum this down to the author publishing fast and not going over his work enough times to catch the earlier mistakes. The later chapters seem to have less mistakes, so it is promising to see that author is improving the more he writes. I'd recommend getting a friend to go over your work before you publishing a chapter and absolutely mark it to hell, trust me you see your mistakes real fast.
Overall a really good story that's well written with a more mundane perspective of living as a monster. It feels pretty real for a fantasy isekia goblin story. - EllatrossRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5Good pace with honestly imo fairly weak characters since well honestly a lot of them don't have much going for them pretty simple characters, grammar wasn't that bad honestly i remember mistakes here and there but nothing major, easy to understand, would reccomend if you want a pretty fast pace story but not much emphasis on characters
- MShadowlawnRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5BLUF: A highly thematic 'kingdom builder' style of story that's played shockingly straight considering the subject matter, but still manages to be entertaining. Unfortunately, there's not a lot of funny GAAWBLIN banter to be found.
Grammar: There are little oddities here and there, ranging from misspelled letters to incorrect word choices(and occasionally syntaxically weird phrasing), frequent enough to be quite noticeable but not enough to impact readability meaningfully.
Style: Prose-wise, don't expect to see anything groundbreaking. What IS here, though, is relatively short and to the point. Fight scenes are pretty okay, but nothing too amazing and could definitely be improved on a little. The bones of what's here are good, but more development is necessary to reach its true potential, potential that is already hinted at via portrayal of clever usages of abilities.
Story: Actually, pretty decent, though this is my first kingdom builder-style story, so I'm not very highly qualified to critique this with scrutiny. There were a few points where I felt things didn't completely make sense (IE in-universe rules don't feel like they're consistently being obeyed with regards to some magical stuff), but overall it's pretty solid. Worldbuilding is relatively light, but the concept of goblins that absorb magic gems to gain magic powers is a pretty solid one, and a concept unique enough where I'm going out of my way to applaud the author's creativity. The story of how the 'kingdom' develops is also fairly interesting, though nothing particularly exceptional.
Character: The main character has a strong backstory as a businessman, with dashes of backstory exposition neatly sprinkled along the story, and side characters sometimes do and sometimes don't have particularly distinct personalities. I like the strong backstory and the presence of a clear personality with human flaws in the main character, but side characters (particularly the head huntsman and the animal tamer) could
