Anyway. There were some faults. Obvious ones would be how I just couldn't really find the red thread with the chapters. In a genre-way of seeing things. It just seemed like that initial promise of glory got side-tracked real quick, going over to something more... I want to say character driven but that doesn't really do it justice.
The author uses a L-Lot of these. Might just be something I noticed later on in a special instance, but it just felt like they were used too much. It's a valid style to use, but some variety wouldn't hurt anybody.
Grammar has a few errors but not enough for me to get that angry at it. Does it need some editng? Yes. Will I throw out my screen for having born this text? No
4/5 from me.
Also forgot to mention the prologue. Slight overuse of italics.
