Description

It’s the year 3050, and instead of another global pandemic that would threaten the human race, another thing plagues the world, overpopulation. The theory is that after the single world government became a thing, so many walks of life were introduced to one another causing what I personally like to call a giant world orgy thus breeding this overpopulated of a world we callEarth. As you can imagine, there were issues with this both on the economical and civil war fronts. And just like with everything else, the government had a plan, and for once it didn’t only benefit them. A form of population control that seemed both entertaining and rewarding.

In the early years of the century, gamingwas established as a professional sport. And over time the gaming community slowly grew into something that shaped the everyday lives around us. Realizing the sudden skyrocket of gamers, government officials seized the opportunity and began funding a certain project developed byDismantle Studios,a video game known asAleria. The game was at first, a typical massive multiplayer, and roleplaying game. The player would take up quests around the world known as Aleria, exploring the depths of a world other than the one they were used to. Like me, the game served as a way to escape the horrors of the real world. But everything changed after the virtual reality update.

It was something like no other, all across the world, people mysteriously began receiving  gaming gear to get them up and running for the world of Aleria. Young and old, girl, or guy. Some hadn’t even played a game in their life but were tempted after hearing the offer. The virtual capabilities incorporated into the updated gamewere no like other. With the funding, it became possible for allfive senses to be taken under controland replicated into this game. You could also edit any medical conditions to your liking. This meant here, the paralyzed had the means to walk and the sick became well. And if you were poor, the game’s currency would cash out any currency you had after each session into real currency. Of course, there were drawbacks. One was a leveling system. This could be pretty intimidating to new players. This was because the five senses were under the control of the game, making it possible to feel everything that happened to your character. And furthermore, if you died in this game,Death came for you in the real world as well.

This story follows the adventure of Hachi Hokugoma, a casual player who against his will, is tied into a marriage with a mysterious player on the count of a virtual mishap. With his partner in tow, Hachi traverses the many landscapes, not only finding out that the virtual world he’d grown to love is more than a game. He may also find love.

The premise caught my eye and the writing is excellent and fluid; you can connect to the background and characters.
The mystery around the universe and what happens beyond and backward all got me really interested!
The choice of words is very well done: it's robust but not hard enough to understand, and it gives the perfect touch of professionalism and talent. Being able to follow Hachi's point of view (in third person narrative, which is my favorite) is an amazing experience, and the virtual reality seems palpable, like I could be inside the game as well.
The dialogues are super funny, and even though I know it's a bit of slow burn I want more and more <3
    I definitely recommend this story!

What I loved about this book is how it mixes gaming with real-life stakes. Like, imagine if every time you played a game, your life was on the line. The idea is super intense and keeps you hooked from start to finish. Hachi’s journey is full of action, and even though he’s just a regular guy, you can’t help but root for him as he tries to survive and figure out what’s going on.
Plus, it makes you think about what would happen if our lives became part of a game. If that sounds like your thing, definitely check it out!

I absolutely give this fantastic book, Game no Kizuna, five stars. I was enthralled with every word, feeling as though I were actually in the game, and it much surpassed my high expectations. This novel is mysterious and action-packed, much like The Hunger Games.
I like how the story opens with the brave Hachi attacking the creature; it was very well narrated, and it introduces the reader to the life of the main character. The scene in which Hachi enters the virtual world is also very tempting, demonstrating the author's extraordinary intelligence and creativeness.
The story is not overly packed with characters, which is quite helpful to focus on the main characters and understand the story fully. I like how the author added a love story between the two men, which made it more appealing. I find the story original. I encourage the author to create more chapters and focus on the relationship between Hachi and Blu. Reading through each chapter helps me disconnect from the real world, as if I am watching a movie scene full of imaginations and adventures, excited to read more chapters.

The game world is really interesting, I would love to read more about its lore and how the game itself works.
And I absolutely love the dynamic between the main characters, it is humorous, and I can see them eventually falling for each other💖
    Keep up the good work!

This is already shaping up to be a really fun and engaging story! It’s really well-paced so far, each chapter is a good size, and the story honestly has me completely hooked. I feel like the writing does a really good job of painting a picture in my mind of the scenery, and I love the way the action sequences easily play out like a movie in my head. I'm also super intrigued by the strange circumstances surrounding Hachi and Blu's first meeting and the mystery surrounding Blu as a character. I'm really curious to see where all this is gonna go, I seriously can’t wait to read what comes next >:)

Well consider me sucked in! What’s Blu’s game, and why is he familiar to Hachi? Who’s the murderer in town? I have no idea and I need this author to release more parts so I can find out.
I did find the minotaur battle to be a bit of a slow opening, however I think this was mostly because I didn’t know the stakes. I wish I knew at the start that dying in-game killed players in real life too. It also would have helped me understand Hachi’s internal debate over how to help Blu.
That said, as soon as Hachi got to the marketplace, the author’s talent for detailed worldbuilding shone. The dialogue too is absolutely one of their strengths. Every line is full of personality and further develops the world. Blu is so funny and flirty and I’m already falling for him!
Picky readers should know that there are  grammar and punctuation mistakes in the first two parts **but** the author cleans all of it up in Chapter 3, which is a breeze to read. You should stick with the story.
Now, can someone invent this virtual world already so I can go exploring? No? Then I guess I’ll be back for part four!

The premise and world-building are very intriguing, and the writing style is quite unique. Some of the dialogues made me smile while reading them (in a good way). Even though I can imagine the story's potential leading toward something darker and more intense, filled with action, why are there only 3 chapters so far? We need more, Hachi!!

The concept is not new, but it's always interesting to see how different authors may write the story in their own words. I enjoy the dialogues, they're just so funny 😂.
The author does well in writing likeable characters, and they also do well in writing the landscapes and gaming interface.
I'm already hooked on three chapters, imagine when there's more 👀
