Gaia's will and challenge

In the year 2018 life is quite easy for many people. However peaceful times like these are bound to change and stop someday. This year is the year where the peaceful times stop and the struggle for survival begins. With the reawakening of Gaia, the spirit of the planet earth, mana also appeared again, as well as the gods. The gods that now slowly wake up from their slumber decided to help the humans so that they have at least a chance to survive the monster and mana beasts that are bound to appear with mana. They give them the chance to change themselves, strengthen themselves and acquire power so that they can survive. However quickly do the humans have to realize, that they are no longer the top predator on earth even with their newly acquired enhancements and powers.

Old, legendary, sometimes even mythological creatures reappear. Demons only spoken in old legends and folklore can visit the mortal realm again and hunt humans to their will. And humans are no longer the only sentient species on earth. Those who have the diluted blood of old, of the other races like the dwarves, elves, beastmen and all those who are in between slowly reawaken their heritage.

They now have to either fight in order to gain control of what was once theirs or cooperate. Let's see what a "normal" person, a normal 16-year old can do in such a world.
