Description

When sixteen-year-old Rebecca is forced from her Cherokee homeland during the brutal Indian Removal of 1838, she discovers her grandmother's traditional teachings are more than ancient wisdom—they're a gateway to hidden power. As soldiers drive her family and thousands of others from their homes, Rebecca's world transforms, revealing abilities she never knew she possessed: stat-based attributes like strength and stamina for the journey ahead, skills in identifying healing plants, the gift of understanding sacred symbols, and a deepening connection to her people's spiritual practices. Each skill appears to her as clearly as the trail ahead, complete with levels and progression paths that follow the natural way her people have always learned.

After reading the first chatper, I think this is a fresh persepctive on litRPG genre. I love historical fiction but it just hasnt been tapped yet in the genre. Bit of slower start, and not typcial gaming aspects involved but it seems like it will weave in the game mechanic as spritiual experiences which is very interesting. It is hard to tell what may happen for the rest of the story, maybe should add more of a cliff hanger for the ending of this chapter but it still good, but I cant wait to read more. The main character perspective is written well, and I like the dynamic with the grandmother. Maybe write a bit more to show a stronger bond for the reader. This is just my opinion though. Since it is a historical fiction story with a unique culture involved, I do not know much about it. But it does seem natural the way it is weaved in, but again a perspective I am not familiar with, but is great to learn in this way. Overall, the author seems to be a good writer from a readers perspective, feels very natural and smooth. But may need more help for story. But it does seem to be their first lookin at the profile, so forgiveness from me on that end.
