Description

Camerak, home world of the cold blooded Visius, has seen its fair share of wars over the centuries. But the wars have all ended. Now, there is only the Tarabashian empire, ruled by a single queen with a terrible problem. Her world is dying. Slowly but surely the oceans are turning to ice and temperatures drop further every year. No army, no matter how big, can solve this threat to her empire. No spear or sword or axe can stop what is coming.

Or can it?

When a disgraced, treacherous lord offers her a way to save her empire and her people queen Yeshara is eager to take it. And this is where our story begins, with over a million soldiers marching off to war.

I guess I get to do your first RR review :)
Where to start ? Excellent begining, great story, brilliant character design, 7/10
    Memes aside:
As of chapter 5, I particularly like how you take a common (or at least, known) trope, and turn it on its head.
The character are well thought out, each with their own personality. Their behaviour is relatable and believable.
World building is ongoing, but for now, very well integrated to the story: Before you notice, you'll know the story of the country, its inhabitants and so on.
Finally, as far as I can see, the grammar is perfect .
In essence, I definitely recommend giving Frozen Armies a try !
Thank you for bringing us this story Verus !

To answer the title, it's good. But can I recommend it? Yeah of course. I said it was good duh.
But before you take that at face value reader, let me tell you what you might be about to get into. Told from the 3rd person, it frequently switches perspectives. Chapters take me around 15 minutes to read and as if chapter 13 the narrative has been progressing at a comfortable pace. With the perspective being switched so many times, don't go in with the expectation your going to see a story driven by one or 2 main characters. There's plenty going on the novel, plenty of characters to like or dislike on a superficial or deeper level. It's certainly a portal fantasy, but what's come through the portal is an empire driven by warrior aristocracy from a dying planet, not a plucky band of NEET shut-in heroes. It's fun to read how a medieval low fantasy world is going to collide with their new alien visitors. There's no clear good guy or bad guy. You get the vague sense that nobody is acting out of evil or good, only that they are doing what naturally comes to them in that situation. Read no further if you're planning on reading this.

Aite, still around? Let's get down to business with a more in depth analysis of the story.
Firstly the invaders are a carnivorous race called the Visius. They may be omnivorous but their own planet is getting colder as the years go by so they don't grow crops. I shall dub this polity the Vempire. They arrive with overwhelming force and with a plan. 13 chapters in and it's clear they run their territories better. But they are also colossal dickwads about resistance. They have their rules and protocols. They have and will exterminate any resistance. They will revolutionise your neighbourhood with brilliant local investment into civic infrastructure. But make no mistake, they are here with the expectation of conflict, not peaceful assimilation. Peaceful subj

This story is excellent in some parts of it manly the Grammar and the world-building are great as you have definitely improved since A Good Man but this story suffers from having too many POVs and not in a good way.
Now don't get me wrong having quite a few POVs is not a bad thing but you just change the POVs too often in a single chapter.
Now I can understand why you may have to do this at the start of the story so I can only hope that in the later chapters you focus on a single POV in some chapters.
It doesn't have to be a lot so maybe two or three chapters in a row of a single POV? Not saying you haven't done it but you just need more.  3/5 - 4/5 Overall ill be on the lookout for this one
