Description

"If something happens to me, I want my wife to know the truth. If they saywe foughtvaliantly here, I want her to knowwe fought retarded." Sgt.Eric Kocher, Generation Kill.

A Generation of young Marines, growing up with video games, music videos, internet degeneracy, anime and political division, is sent into Falmart. They are unrecognizable from their forefathers in previous generations, behaving differently from their ancestors in the Marine Corps. For them, any form of the "F-word" is a term of endearment. For some, they're more intimate with social media influencers than with their own parents, some considers rappers like Ice Cube and Lil Nas to be poetic geniuses whose songs are arts surpassing speeches of Abraham Lincoln and MLK, and now, they will be the tip of the spear of an interstellar invasion.

Before the opening of two interstellar Gate to an untouched fantasy world in San Diego and the Heart of Tokyo, not a whole lot was expected of their generation other than the hope that those in it would squeak through high school without pulling too many more mass shootings in the manner of Sandy Hook or Virginia Tech. But within the hours of the unprovoked attacks of both cities by a foraging army from beyond, the weight of America’s interstellar war upon the Empire of Sadera has fallen on the shoulders these young men and women.

In the coming weeks, it will fall on the fewer than 400 men of the First Reconnaissance Battalion to spearhead the blitzkrieg advance of American war rnachines through fantasy land of Falmart in their beaten-up, forlorn Humvees towards the Heart of the Empire. Throughout their missions as the tip of the spear of America's first interstellar war, they will face death every day. They will struggle with fear, confusion, lack of sleep, questions over war crimes by their side and leaders whose competence they don’t trust. They will struggle with the randomness in the violence of war. Above all, they will kill a lot of people. A few of those deaths the men will no doubt think about and perhaps regret for the rest of their lives.
