Description

In the mountain city of Falcrest, Atlas—an orphan shunned for his foreign blood—has spent his life on the fringes. But when a reckless nightly escapade awakens his dormant mana core, everything changes.

Thrust into the elite academy of Falcrest, he must train as a Blade—one of Draegar’s legendary warriors. Here, strength is everything, and weakness is prey. Surrounded by unyielding discipline, ruthless rivals, and a society that sees his very existence as a stain, Atlas must master his unruly mana and uncover the secrets of his power.

But survival isn’t guaranteed. In a world where strength determines worth and failure means death.

A new Blade is being forged. And it will be bathed in blood.

I’ll start off by saying this is a good start to the story. I was hooked in early on and have found myself enjoying the mcs personally and the small banter that’s woven into the story. I can’t wait to see what happens next. Keep it up. I recommend to anyone on the fence, give it a go!

Great grammar. Characters are believable with reasonable motivations and back stories. MC, so far, has earned his abilities. It sounds like people’s initial talents are not completely set in stone. Lots of mysteries and thing things to learn that make me anticipate future chapters. No weird interactions with female characters so far, which is appreciated. Hopefully there’s more world building to come in future chapters as the MC progresses.

I’m loving it! The only problem is there isn’t enough chapters, I got hooked in right away, you feel for atlas and his struggles. I like how something so insignificant as a jacket can actually be life changing for him. And then to have it thrown back in his face..
very good start and I’m waiting for more

Captures the daringly inquisitive and obliviously foolhardy voice of the young MC very well.
I believe this is a vital component in a week to strong coming of age premise, to help us readers get invested right from the start.
(Really liked the bat-sht-crazy-psycho-btch assassin as well. Was done well!)
Overall a fun read with lots of promise!
