Fools Ichor

Mind-controlling aberrations adding to their hive mind, giant sea monsters with writhing, tree-like tentacles, emerging from the depths of the oceans, and countless hordes of twisted abominations of flesh roaming the country. With their insatiable hunger and unquenchable thirst for power, these creatures leave nothing but devastation in their wake.

Monsters known asYokaiare plaguing the realm of Asleron, murdering and feeding on people at an alarming velocity.  Apocalyptic Yokai, known as theWorld Powersare suddenly on the move for the first time in centuries. They engage in an open, violent conflict that looks to swallow everyone and everything in their vast paths.

After his village is destroyed by a vile Yokai,  a young man named Leon sets out on a quest to end their reign of terror. He is recruited by the strange powerful individuals who saved him. They introduce him to a powerful energy source calledRadialem.With this energy, he hopes to become aDrafter.one of a select group of elite individuals who have proven themselves capable of harnessing its power. Leon learns that his parents were both once highly powerful Drafters. After his father abandoned him, His mother chose to shield him from drafting and radialem. Instead choosing to hide the truth of it all from him. With his mother’s death, he is now forced to venture out and learn it all on his own.

The use of Radialem is not without risk. All users of the energy run the danger of contractingBlood Rot,  a deadly disease caused by overexposure to the energy. To prepare himself for the fight against Yokai, Leon must attempt to pass the "Test of Vitality," an exam held annually by the Gilded Weavers to test the capabilities of potential Drafters. With the help of his new friends and mentor, Leon must train, to push his body and mind to the limits to pass the test.

The Gilded Weavers are an organization that tests and licenses Drafters, assigning them ranks based on their capabilities to deal with Yokai threats. The higher the rank, the more powerful the drafter, and the more prestige and political power they possess. In obtaining theGilded badge, Leon ventures to gain more than just power, he will gain the ability to travel anywhere in the world and access a range of perks depending on his earned rank.The world powers threaten to destroy all of Asleron. The Gilded Weavers are pressed into recruiting and pushing out more drafters than ever before, testing their bonds of tradition.

Leon  must learn quickly, and rise through the ranks in order to help stop whatever the World Powers are doing before it is too late. Will he succeed in his quest to end the Yokai's reign of terror, or will he be consumed by the very darkness his mother fought so hard to protect him from?
