Setting: underwater
Two siblings, a boy and girl, have always spent their time in the ocean. They are merfolk, rather than mermaids: they’re tailless. Their time is spent vaguely, and their neighbors are mysterious.
Unlike most oceans, they are in some enclosed environment. Why? They’ll never know.
But things get too much for them. What’ll they decide on?

- RznRoyal Road★★ 2.0Taking a page out of mermaid myth this piece is awkward and confusing, it doesn't have much clarity so it is difficult to understand what is so traumatizing about it, as per the author's blurb. It almost sounded like it was a horror about sea monkeys and not merpeople - the situation about their captivity is more or less described like a small aquarium but it doesn't make a whole lot of sense given the purposely vague prose.
