Description
"I lost the only person who ever made me feel whole. She was taken from me without reason, and since then, I've been a shadow of who I once was. In my desperation, an enigmatic being appeared in my dreams, offering me the impossible: the chance to be reborn in different eras, with the promise of finding her again. But with each rebirth, I feel something inside me slipping away, and I don't know how much longer I can hold on."
Darius, broken by grief and loss, is pulled into an endless cycle of lives that defy everything he knows. In each era, he faces mythical creatures and supernatural forces that test not just his strength, but his very soul. Guided by mysterious forces, his fate becomes intertwined with the worlds he touches, where every choice he makes alters the future of entire civilizations.
With each rebirth, a part of him fades as the chaos within him grows. The entity that guides him has infused him with this chaos for reasons he has yet to uncover, using him as a pawn in a cosmic game that threatens more than just his life—it risks unraveling the very eras he visits.
What will Darius do when he learns the truth behind this enigmatic being? Can he find his lost love, or has he been merely a piece in a much larger game of deception and betrayal? Time is running out, and with each rebirth, the stakes grow higher—not just for Darius, but for reality itself.

- Gus WhitehallRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Fate's Bloody Path is fairly new to Royal Road, but there's already so much here, and the story is loaded with potential. From the very beginning, this story is filled with action and emotion that makes me optimistic for how the story will progress.
Style:
The style is focused, serious, and consistent throughout what I have read so far. The tone of the writing gives a sense of immediacy to the action that really works. I think style is essential for stories like this, and this one does it well.
Character:
The main character is pretty fleshed out for being so early into the story. You get good glimpses into their mind that do well to help you get to know the character and their motivations. Some of the enemy characters could be fleshed out a little better, but that could very well happen as the story goes on. Did I mention this story just launched a few days ago?
Grammar:
There were no major grammatical issues that I noticed. Everything is written clearly, concisely, and, most importantly, correctly.
Overall:
I'll say that I'm impressed with how the story has developed so far. It's well written, has a style unique to the author, and I think it will do well on Royal Road. If you're looking to hop on something early, you're in the right place! - ammonoidsRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Fate's Bloody Path takes a classic plotline- the isekai- and gives it much needed direction with Darius's motivation, his need to find his true love. While he strays and doubts his journey, his grief over his loss is sufficient to force him through brutal training, difficult fights, and even repeated rebirths- and time travel, it seems. I would recommend it to anyone who's a fan of mmorpgs and rpgs, as many of the concepts and powers within are reminiscent of classic rpgs. The time-travel plotline indicates that the plot may get more complex as time goes on, which also intrigues me!
Style
This story is written in a very evocative manner. I enjoyed the way the author portrayed different emotions and scenes with a daft hand. Darius's voice comes through and is consistent throughout.
Story
This is a pretty straightforward plotline, with strong motivation and good supporting characters. I especially liked the way that stronger weapons were incorporated, tying in Darius's previous lives and giving some backstory while still progressing the plot. Still, at times it veers into the cliche. The time-travel aspect will likely make this more complex as time goes on, which is the reason I've left it at four and a half stars.
Grammar
This story is well-edited and a pleasure to read. The only grammar problem I spotted was splitting dialogue between multiple lines, making it sometimes difficult to figure out who was speaking, but this was rare.
Character
Darius is a well-developed character, and the side characters all have the beginnings of real plotlines, which I enjoy- especially to give contrast to Darius's comparative power. However, Darius rarely explains what exactly his love was like, other than being vaguely perfect, doing everything the right way, and mentioning that they would meet again. I can't help but picture a bobblehead with lipstick on. It would be nice to learn a little more about the source of our plot. - PyritePirateRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0Style: Not bad, fairly functional, though I felt like the fight scenes needed work. They just didn't pop. It also didn't express certain emotions strongly. But the author still has a good writing sense and a clear and consistent style, which is good.
Story: The premise was the most intriguing part to me. A fairly unique premise, and the memory loss aspect really adds a unique sort of tragedy and makes his resurrection ability feel like it's at a price. But there are issues. The fact that we know next to nothing about his previous life really makes it hard to feel anything about it. We're told about how much the MC misses his love, but see nothing of her, so it just feels empty. We're told that he feels guilty about being seduced by what I assume were succubi, but we don't really see him show it through his actions. And speaking of, that sequence felt like it was just a gratuitous sex scene as a result of this issue. There are other such issues, but in general I'd say the execution of various ideas that would work when carried out properly is what needs improvement.
Grammar: No issues that I noticed.
Character: I didn't care or feel anything about any of of them, I'm afraid. There's a certain skill to endearing readers to characters, drawing out emotions, and making them feel real, and that's lacking here. The main character is particularly egregious since he's the main focus. - Wandering AgentRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0Overall the theme, story and outline are all there for something quite good (this is only being reviewed at ch 18) but there is some need for editing. I like the characters, but their introductions are often confusing, as is those for the city. The world is good, with a clear outline, and already a decent explanation of how the magic system seems to work.
