One thing remains constant throughout the realms: Fate hates to be defied. And yet mortals continue to do the impossible anyway.

Pissed off, Fate nabs people from throughout the realms who’ve defied her. Famous warriors, Dark Lords, miracle doctors, and Heroes. And James. James didn’t die from choking on a cough drop by accident and now he’s being punished for it. All these illustrious Defiers—and James—have been summoned to a grand execution disguised as a competition.

Will James and our Defiers succumb to Fate’s will or will She be defied once more?
