Extradimensional Tax Evasion

Description
Reincarnate as a hero and slay the demon king, a tale as old as time right?
And for good reason! The laws of the multi-verse are vast, unknowable, and rife with loopholes if you know how to find them.
What better way to collect worship revenue than to install a demon king with divine knowledge?
And what better way to "correct" the existence of a demon king, as is your cosmic duty, than by summoning a hero doomed to fail?
Life is unfair, and reincarnation is no exception.********What to expect? I'm not entirely sure yet. I'm writing this for the community magazine and still have a few things to figure out. I've checked all the possible content warnings, but none apply yet. I will either use them or remove them in due time. For now, I simply hope you enjoy the story!

- DishyflowRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Good story so far. Love the afterlife bureaucracy trope.
Can't wait to see how the MC works around a build optimized for failure.
MC seems a little overly acerbic but I will reserve judgment until there's been some character development. Hopefully, he'll level out after building some less hostile relationships.
Good luck. - SetpimusRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I see you, weary traveller. You have come in search of refuge from the horror that plagues the living and digs its claws into our very souls, never to let us go, even in death...
Old Ones? Cosmic horrors beyond our understanding? Primordial beings that govern our existence in unknowable ways? No.
Bureaucracy
Here you will find the work of a man who has gazed deeply into the Abyss, and found it to be quite pleasant compared to a standard corporate job.
Flopmind excels at putting us straight into the hellscape that is a fantastical universe governed by divine entities who seem as enthusiastic about meetings as an associate middle manager on a Monday morning.
A very promising start to a no doubt excellent fiction.
