Description
“We felt empty inside. Dumbstruck. We didn’t know what to think or feel. It was as if this new world was too great, too vast. And the problems and issues I had… or We had, were miniscule to the sublimity of this new world. As if they were too little to compare; for my mind to even fathom that they mattered anymore. It felt like nothing but this world mattered now, and it was an omen of great struggles to come.”
Homo Sapiens have been summoned. Spawning with no knowledge of why they are where they are, who or what brought them to that place, or even what world they are in.

- DedlineRoyal Road★★★★ 3.5Okay, I would be honest. And by honest, i mean no courtesy. I put myself in the place of the reader, and then I put myself in the place of the author, re-reading again. And I think I found the problem. The readers normally dont have the mindset, as well as the perspective of the author, so at first, this would be hard to read. The author had everything laid out in his mind, so everything little thing he wrote, it was a brick for his world-building, and he could easily understand. Readers wouldn't be like that. They would start from zero with no understanding of how that world work. At the first read, I tried to connect the dots, but there were too many and there was not a single direction for me to follow. Everything was just... spread out. For example, I had no idea who was the main character until i hit 8k-9k words of introduction. And even then, it was just a vague feeling. "The guy is calm and badass, he must be MC, right? Right?"- yep, that was my thought back then. And ridiculous thing was my guess first based on the fact that he was 1 among 2 people in the series who had a name. I dont feel specially connected to any other character as well. To me, they were just Red Shirt, Black Cap, Fat Guy... Just as the author addressed them. If this is still on the world-building and introducing process, this review of mine deems to be invalid and coming out way too soon. But if not, i doubt our readers would have enough patience.
Now, talking about what i like. It's original. It's rare these day. "Manifestation of Fear" gave me an idea of the plot, and why these people were gathered there. The mysterious ambience was shown from beginning, with many possibilities to anticipate. Beam of Light could be either the Havestor, or the Portal, or both. I also like the idea of a gangster having a critical role to story (tho it's not confirmed). If it was me, i would make him my MC. Original. The time stamp was a little mixed up too. But I supposed it was another thing i didn't e
