Evolutionary Starship (Sci-Fi LitRPG)

Edward Ericson was ecstatic to be the second person to walk on the surface of Mars. It was an achievement that would ensure he'd be remembered in all the history books. But when an alien spacecraft landed near the human-built Starship, Edward drew the short straw and was sent to explore it.

The Precursor-built starship promptly abducted Edward, scanned his brain and made a duplicate of his mind into its new core. He'd be tasked with both protecting his species and heading out into the wider galaxy to explore the many treasure troves and mysteries the Precursors have left behind.

But for this new Digital Edward Ericson (Dee to his friends), coming to terms with being a copy of his old human self meant a great deal of adjustment. That's before considering he'll have to learn how to be a starship as quickly as he can, because the Precusor's good intentions did not all go as planned. Join this new human-based AI as he tries to navigate the trails and tribulations of being chosen as humanity's guardian while being mistrusted by the very species he has been chosen to protect.
