Four students return to Evercrest High for their third year, each bringing with them a legacy steeped in mysticism and ancient power. Ravenna Blackwood, the daughter of prestigious witches and warlocks, and her best friend Ophelia Florian, a third-generation witch, are ready to tackle their eleventh grade year. Joining them are the sons of the most prominent vampire family, Oliver St. James and Axel St. James, who are in their eleventh and twelfth grade years, respectively.

Every October, these four students partake in an age-old ritual during Halloween week, a tradition that safeguards the school from the malevolent forces lurking in the darkness. This ritual, a cornerstone of Evercrest's mystical defenses, is crucial for maintaining the balance between light and dark. But what happens when they fail? The protective barriers weaken, allowing sinister entities to seep into the academy's hallowed halls. The students must then confront their worst fears, unravel hidden secrets of their lineage, and summon every ounce of their inherited power and courage to restore the protection before the darkness consumes everything they hold dear.
