- NightmaretreeRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0An interesting story so far. Very much in the HFY Genre, for those who know what that is.
It is scifi, with the interesting twist of somehow human ships are alive. Not in an AI sense, but in a spiritual sense, and that aliveness makes them...weird.
The story starts with one of these ships waking up, cloning itself a captain, and getting to work moving about. And oh right as it does this one of humanities old enemies pops back up. No biggy.
As with most hfy stories it is littered with "humans are awesome" tropes. Big Guns, Crazy Design Choices and Tech no one else uses because "you'd have to be insane to do that" and so on.
Overall, It seems like it definetly has potential and is fun. Looking forward to more. Hopefully it stays this good.
