Description

Two men on the run try find solace and humanity in a corner of paradise in Greece, but their time on earth is limited as they find out they cannot outrun predestination... even in the most idyllic of places.

The title is in reference to the painting by Nicolas Poussin (17th c.) called The Arcadian Shepherds. It depicts what the Greeks considered a utopia in the mountainous region of Arcadia in Greece; shepherds gathered around having a good time while a grave sits next to them. Under the painting is inscribed "Et in Arcadia Ego" - Even in Arcadia There I Am, symbolising that even in utopia there is death.
