Description
In a dying world haunted by forgotten gods and buried truths, a lone boy awakens with no past—only a promise. A promise that lingers through the ruins:
"Everything has been lost, so let’s find our Elysium."
But who did Asher make this vow to? Will he ever find them, or is he destined to wander forever with no past to claim? His journey begins with a search for truth buried deep within himself. Yet fate seems intent on breaking him—stealing away his happiness, the people he holds dear, and even the village that gave him his first sense of home in this world of ancient mysteries.
Still, Asher is not alone. Far above, the stars will guide his path. And when his end draws near, they will embrace him—only to shatter alongside him into oblivion.
Character:- Asher is smart, not extraordinary. He will develop as the story progresses but it won’t be dragged for too long as the main aspect of the story is mystery. I have kept him as a blank slate to be filled, please read with patience, it will be worth it.

- _sylveriaRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Eternal Elysium had reminded me of an old classic video game similar to Final Fantasy, at least that's what the vibe gave off to me. When I started reading this story, I never would have expected what welcomed me in its pages.
All of the characters introduction are absolutely phenomenal, some might seem to be too abrupt but with a little bit of polishing with the pacing, all will be perfect.
Right from the start, the story immediately thickens since I immediately wanted to know how Ash ended up in that kind of situation and why he was like that and the question only thickens as the story progresses which makes the story interesting.
I absolutely loved the world building in this, the way the author had carefully and properly described every scenary and how it affects the characters are chef's kiss, I almost wonder how they do it.
The reason why I think this is the embodiment of fantasy is because right from the get-go you know it's full of magic and adventure.
If your interested in a classic fantasy with actually stakes, amazing characters, and an mc with a mysterious background then Eternal Elysium is just the right book for you to read!
It makes you wonder how much potential it really has with every chapter! - Cowabunga_BluewriterRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0World building
The world is just starting to take shape in the ten chapters I read so far, with the explanation of monsters, Awakeners, and such. The town of Eron can be imagined well, though if you want longer chapters, more description is key. In later chapters, you do far better here, so it just might be pacing that’s off.
Story and Style
I love the story thus far. I am just finishing the demon tree arc. It's immersive and well told in third person for now. Your dialogue is well presented, and your fight scenes are well-choreographed. The thoughts I’d italicize and put in their own spaces. Your hooking sentence: William, a stout man in his early fifties, marched through the forest with the resolve of a seasoned traveler. While it does catch the eye, it could use with a bit more personality. A bit more urgency to catch readers outright. Your pacing is where you might be off a bit. In the beginning, when William finds Asher, it's a mighty short part. Then it skips to where Asher is returning from a trip to the city with no real transitional scenes between.
Characters
Asher is a well-made character. They all are. Even the tree has personality lol. You do great characterization and great dialogue between characters. They all have goals, motivations, and conflicts to solve and deal with before the main one appears, which is good!
Grammar
There were hardly any grammatical mistakes.
Overall
I’d have to give this story a five. It’s well thought out, well-written, and I recommend it to all who love fantasy stories with monsters and abilities. Definitely worth your time! - Ember1213Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0Style:
The story makes excellent use of proes in order to carry the tone of the narrative. Every word adds to the mystery and horror. It's a unique quality that I rarely see in stories on platforms like this. They'll get dark, sure but I find it difficult to feel that sometimes while the author seems to do it no problem
Story:
The story is well paced, giving you plenty of time with the involved characters, making it more shocking with two mysterious back to back deaths. It also sets up a good early mystery as the deaths in question are entirely separate. The world building is rather subtle and save for a few pieces of dialogue, doesn't feel intrusive
Grammar:
I don't have a whole lot to say here. In the five chapters that I've read, I haven't come across many major grammatical errors
Characters
Most of the characters are serviceable. They make the town feel lived in and make later events feel somewhat unsettling. Still, I haven't seen much in terms of major development (though this is subject to change in later chapters). However, Asher is very much a highlight to me. Despite his age, he's not stupid. He picks up on things even the adults didn't notice but it's not to the point of feeling unrealistic. Combined with his missing memories, there's a lot of ways he could go and I cannot wait to see - Lore El. LaiRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Style:
Eternal Elysium’s prose is a standout feature of this story. Every sentence feels deliberate, and carefully chosen to enforce the eerie and mysterious tone of the narrative. There’s a constant undercurrent of unease—even in mundane scenes—that really enhances the mystery of the Village of Enor. Where many other stories might rely on gore or shock value to convey dread, this one does it with atmosphere, pacing, and subtle word choice. It’s an impressive feat and one that elevates the entire experience. The combat scenes are especially compelling.
Story:
The pacing is excellent, offering readers time to connect with the characters and settle into the world before pulling the rug out from under them. I honestly thought that some characters introduced early on would be key characters to the story. Two mysterious deaths happen in quick succession, each with its own distinct circumstances, and yet they’re tied together by the creeping sense that something is deeply wrong. What makes these moments hit so hard is that the groundwork was carefully laid beforehand—the characters were made familiar, their routines and relationships sketched just enough to make their loss feel personal.
What really impressed me, though, is how the story establishes a strong central mystery early on without feeling heavy-handed. There’s no forced exposition dump. Instead, the worldbuilding is organic—woven into dialogue, behavior, and small environmental details such as the mysterious smiling man. You’re learning about the world without realizing you’re being taught, which keeps the immersion intact.
Grammar:
I have read ten chapters so far, and the grammar has been consistently clean. I haven’t encountered any distracting errors or awkward phrasing. Everything flows smoothly, and the clarity of the prose only strengthens the story’s impact. It’s clear the author takes care in polishing their work.
Characters:
The characters do a solid job of grounding the story and making the town feel l - Max DanRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0From the first chapter, Eternal Elysium introduces a rich and mysterious world, balancing emotional stakes with supernatural suspense. The story seamlessly evolves from small-village drama to high-concept fantasy-horror, with each chapter escalating the tension and stakes.
I especially love the fight between Asher and the tree. The horror-infused action sequence is very well written. Asher’s Static ability is used creatively, and the battle is both emotionally charged and strategically layered.
The tone consistently balances dark fantasy and horror with moments of warmth and levity, especially in character interactions. The prose captures atmosphere well, particularly in dreamlike scenes and descriptions of magic. With some trimming of repetitive phrasing, the writing style could become much more polished.
The emotional core of Eternal Elysium lies in its characters, particularly Asher. His memory loss is a narrative strength, making his discoveries feel fresh to the reader. His personality, youthful, a little cheeky, but kind-hearted, feels authentic. The banter between characters is delightful and natural, which makes the story very enjoyable.
The grammar is the most consistent weakness across the early chapters. However, it is highly fixable and doesn’t reflect the core storytelling.
Overall, Eternal Elysium is a dark fantasy with great promise, rich in atmosphere, mystery, and emotional stakes. The characters are lovable, and the dialogue feels fresh and enjoyable. - Ryujin2xdRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Some stories pull you in. Others grab you by the throat, drag you into the dirt, and refuse to let go. Eternal Elysium is the latter. From the first scene, where William discovers an unconscious boy in the forest, to the unraveling horror that engulfs the quiet village of Enor, this story builds tension like a storm creeping over the horizon/slow, deliberate, and inevitable.
The strength of Eternal Elysium lies in its ability to balance heart and horror. The early chapters lull you into a false sense of security, introducing a picturesque village with cobblestone streets, warm hearths, and the kind of small-town charm that makes you wish you could live there. Then, piece by piece, that illusion is shattered. The moment the first body appears entangled in creeping, unnatural vines, you realize the story isn’t just about a boy with no memory. It’s about something older, something darker, something that does not care for human life.
Asher is a compelling protagonist, not because he’s overpowered or special, but because he isn’t. He’s just a kid trying to make sense of a world that doesn’t make sense. His journey from a lost boy with no past to someone who stands against the unknown is gripping. His awakening is handled with finesse, no convenient power-ups, no deus ex machina. His abilities have limits, and those limits matter. Every time he uses Static, you feel the toll it takes on him, and when he pushes past his limits, you know it’s not without consequences.
The supporting cast shines in their own right. Kit, the goofball friend with an obvious crush, Meli, the gentle yet sharp observer, and Grandpa William, the kind of guardian who’s seen too much but keeps moving forward. Their relationships feel real, which makes it all the more gut-wrenching when the village starts to fall apart.
The horror in Eternal Elysium is insidious. It’s not just the grotesque imagery of bodies twisted in vines or villagers being used as puppets. It’s the slow realization that something - C. L. DionevRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0The style of Eternal Elysium is immersive, weaving an intricate blend of mystery, horror, and adventure with an almost poetic narrative. The prose is atmospheric, capturing the eerie tension that permeates the village, the enigmatic past of Asher, and the lurking dangers that unfold with each chapter. The novel masterfully balances action and introspection, allowing readers to experience both the external threats and the protagonist's internal turmoil. The descriptions are vivid, making the horror elements especially effective, as the world feels both haunting and tangible. The pacing is deliberate yet engaging, pulling readers deeper into its enigmatic mysteries with every chapter.
The story is a compelling mix of reincarnation, progression fantasy, and supernatural horror, keeping readers intrigued through its layers of unfolding mysteries. The eerie village setting, the ominous presence of the cursed tree, and the cryptic past surrounding Asher make for an engrossing read. Each chapter reveals new questions while offering just enough answers to maintain a sense of suspense and urgency. The world-building is intriguing, hinting at a much larger lore waiting to be unraveled, particularly with the supernatural elements like awakeners, mysterious gods, and cursed transformations. The horror elements—ranging from grotesque body horror to psychological dread—are effectively integrated, adding an extra layer of tension to the story.
The grammar is mostly solid but could benefit from refinement. Some sentences feel slightly awkward or overly complex, which can make the flow feel choppy at times. There are occasional punctuation inconsistencies and grammatical missteps that could be smoothed out with careful editing. However, these issues don’t significantly hinder readability. If further polished, the prose would be even more striking, enhancing both its lyrical quality and its clarity.
The characters are where Eternal Elysium truly shines. Asher is a strong protagonist, - Stepan ChizhovRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5"Eternal Elysium" is a captivating fantasy adventure that gradually unfolds into a rich and complex story. The narrative follows Asher, a young man with mysterious silver eyes who wakes up in a forest with no memories. What begins as a traumatic tale of self-discovery quickly evolves into something even more sinister and compelling.
Story:
The story is the strongest aspect of this novel. Lazyreader26 has created a fascinating world with a unique magic system centered around "Awakeners" who can tap into supernatural abilities by accessing a mysterious energy called Origin. The progression from peaceful village life to the catastrophe that forces Asher to develop his abilities is well handled.
I particularly enjoyed how the story builds its world organically through Asher's experiences rather than overwhelming information dumps. By chapter 25, we're just beginning to unravel the book's central mysteries, which speaks to the author's patience in crafting a deliberate, slow-paced story (I hope you can enjoy that kind of narration).
Characters:
The characters are well-developed. Asher is a complex protagonist whose journey from confused amnesiac to determined survivor is convincingly portrayed. His relationship with Grandpa Will is touching and provides emotional depth to the story. The sacrifice Will makes for Asher is genuinely heart-wrenching and serves as a powerful motivator for Asher's subsequent actions.
Secondary characters like Kit, Meli, Anny, Liber, and Gian are distinct individuals with their own personalities and motivations.
Style:
The author has a distinctive voice that works well for the fantasy genre. Descriptions are vivid, particularly during action sequences, and dialogue generally feels natural. As the story progresses, the writing style noticeably improves, with later chapters displaying more confidence and polish.
That said, there are inconsistencies in tense throughout the narrative, with occasional shifts between past and present that can be diso - Santa FungiRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5The first chapter was a little slow but the others made up for that with the third being filled to the brim with action. the world seems interesting and I can't wait to learn more of it. Like we got a interesting system and abilities with a lot of potential for future development. There are also guns! I personnaly felt a little reminded of Shadow slave, the vibe I mean. It is by no means a copy or overly inspired it just gave me that feeling I had while reading it which is a compliment. I will keep reading. And see how the story will find its own identity which I believe the author is capable of.
Style: the style is grounded and simple but effective.
Grammar: I saw some smaller things but overall punctuation seems good, some words had small missings but nothing that would hinder reading and the author corrects anything if made aware of it.
Story: I like the way it develops so far, with a lot of ways the story can play out we got one bigger mystery which I like very much.
Character: The dialogue is great I had some troubles with how fast everyone accepted Mc in the flashback chapter but else the character behave understandble and I especially like the Mc so far. He is grounded but innocent in a way only amnesia can make you. - Unknown98pRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0This text has a raw and bold personality that grabs attention right away — and that's a strength many writers spend years trying to develop. There’s real emotional weight here, and a voice that feels alive. It does have some structural and stylistic challenges, but the passion is undeniable. With some refinement, this could turn into something powerful. Keep going — you’re closer than you think.
The style is gritty, visceral, and unfiltered — a voice that doesn't apologize for existing. That’s gold in storytelling. Yes, there’s room for more polish and control, especially in pacing and rhythm, but the authentic energy is there. Think of it like raw ore — the shine is already inside. Sharpen it with structure, and it’ll cut deep.
This piece feels like a scream turned into words — and that’s valid art. While it doesn’t follow a traditional narrative arc, the emotional arc is strong. The rage, the hurt, the inner conflict — they all come through. A bit more grounding, a bit more build-up and payoff, and it can evolve into a narrative that not only hits hard emotionally but also stands tall structurally.
There are grammatical and syntactic issues, sure — but the meaning is never lost. That’s already a victory. With a careful edit, these technical details can be polished up without losing the edge of your voice. Grammar is just the frame — and you’ve already got the painting. A bit of refining will elevate the whole canvas.
This is where your writing truly shines. The protagonist is real, raw, and unforgettable. You’re not just telling us about someone — you’re being that someone on the page. That’s a rare talent. The voice jumps out and stays with the reader. Develop the world around this character more, and you'll have something that doesn’t just speak — it roars.
You’ve got something that can’t be taught: authenticity. The rest — grammar, structure, pacing — that can all be learned. What you already have is much harder to come by. Keep writing. Keep pushing. The poten
