In the postapocalyptic world of Eschaton, Vagari is a man plagued by guilt. An immortal from before the End of Days, he’s haunted by his hand in the apocalypse. Vagari spends his new life searching the wasteland for an ancient tome that he believes holds the key to undoing the damage that he’s done. After many years searching in vain, he gets the news from his closest friend and ally, Alto, that the book has finally been found and is in his possession. Things quickly take a turn for the worse when he discovers Alto brutally murdered and the book once again in the wind – taken by Alto’s daughter Soprano as she fled his killers. With Alto’s murderers still at large, Vagari must take up the chase and cross the wastelands in a race against time to save both Soprano and the world.

With the help of the homunculus BP, Vagari comes to discover that things aren’t quite as simple as he had once believed, as they uncover the truth about the apocalypse and each other. Together against new threats and old, they must face this new reality and fight for a world far greater than either had ever imagined.
