Early days, yet only two chapters in but the writing is excellent.  No grammatical errors which is quite frankly amazing and speech to either an incredibly high level of technical skill, diligent proofreading, or the thorough application of Grammarly.  Possibly all three.
Well, the premise isn't new the author is still holding some of his cards close to his chest, which sets the hook rather nicely.  I'll be putting this on my follow list, and I eagerly await new chapters.

It's been pretty good so far! Keep up the good work, author! There's a few issues, but it's been a pleasure so far! I'm more so writing this review to put you on the ratings and get your story a further reach. It's still pretty early in the story for a full review.
    STYLE
To be honest, I reall dislike present tense stories. At least usually. This one isn't too bad. Sure, there are the occasional slips in tense, but that isn't too big of a deal. If anything, it's a sign of a beginning author that's just happy to learn. Keep the passion and drive for your writing, and style will work itself out.
    STORY
Its not too bad of a story so far. It's still super early to say good or bad definitively. It's not groundbreaking, though no story is. The cliches are there, but cliches exist because they work. There have been hints at a deep workings in the shadows that I so love to see. All in all, the story has direction and the world's depth is hinted at.
The smithing had also been super great! The author knows what they are talking about.
    GRAMMAR
The grammar hasn't been too bad all in all. There has been some slippage of tenses, which is why I usually dislike present tense, but the author has managed to keep up. There are a few errors here and there, such as missing punctuation marks for speaking parts. Nothing too major. The grammar for the most part is good, there are just a few small things that need work.
    CHARACTER
Too early too say much about character, but so far the MC seems like the normal dunce but actually smart. It works. It fits a metalworker IRL. Characters have been good so far, but we'll have to wait and see for the future on where they go.

    Good start.
    The grammar is correct.
The story jumps right into the action, it avoids the trope of extensive description and storytelling right at the beginning, that can be boring.
Some people may dislike the style, as most paragraphs are one single sentence, but personally I like it, and it is definitely better than long blocks of text with useless info inside.
