- BiznessGoose127Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0The author employs a "show don't tell" method that makes the world and characters feel much less contrived. I've always been a fan of that style. The concept is original and illicits a strong emotional connection to the central conflict early in the story. The journey is visceral and brutal, definitely recommend a read!
- jrdangleRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Ok, not gonna lie, this one is a bit hard to follow at times. But, I see why. So, if it wasn't for the announcement that this is an attemp at Soulsborne Lit, I might not have liked it as much. But I think it's an awesome thing to try, and I rellly like how the author isn't just putting in a bunch of undead and dark and creepy tropes and stamping SOULSLIKE on it. I actually forgot about the Souls like thing after a while, because it's its own story. I was gonna give it a four star, but I decided on the extra half star because I like his other two fantasy books a lot.
