- JayTheMonsterRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This novel procceds extremely slowly and so far only has 1 time skip. However, this story is well detailed and has amazing character development and interactions. The relationships between the various characters and the emotional reactions are fantastics.
I look forward to how the author will take this story, whether they would keep with the current speed, taking the chapters into the hundreds or if there are to be a few more timeskips. - ConteurRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Sadly, you'll never read this review.
This story is a slow burn. It has madsive potential, with the MC slowly building over time. If you invest the time, you'll see how the story unfolds.
I've hit the first loop, and alteady things are changing. This is how it's supposed to be - you have to build the foundation before you change things. You have to know what will be lost if you leap.
Not happy with clueless MC whooshing the obvious innkeep interest but hey, 20/20 hindsight right? Maybe this time he has a bit of a casual fling ;)
Sigh. This is supposed to be 200ish words long :(
Look, the story is a slow burn. The MC earns his powers, just like every good thing in life you respect what you earn. So respect the slow burn and the development of the MC.
The grammar is good, the characters are okay. They could use some more depth imo, especially the MCs background. Even a light touch besides "some university" will make them more sympathetic and believable. Otherwise the characters are firm. Not cardboard, but not quite flesh and blood either.
The world seems interesting, I like the idea of each summon having a unique version of the interface. That's an interesting take on the LITRPG idea.
The cliche of modern science affecting magic is cliche, but acceptable at this point. Nothing is really broken with modern science affecting magic so far.
The loop aspect is balanced imo. You don't get to start over until you get it right, you have a chance of failure. This is the way.
Imo, this is worth my time and I'll be reading. - PhiFellRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0it's the start of what seems like a fun, if not particularly novel, timeloop litrpg. The grammar is good, and no real complaints on any of the other aspects. It's too early to really know for sure, but this looks like it'll at least be worth reading. It hasn't hooked me like MoL or Menocht did, but it was good enough that I was a bit sad when I got caught up. Not perfect but it gets the royal road 5/5 "worth reading if you like the genre"
- NorthernWardenRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Well worth reading for a fun time with great characters and excellent pacing. This story really captures the wondrous curiosity of a new world. All the characters feel very real and all the motivations and actions make sense. It really balances having fun exciting moments without needing anyone to hold the idiot ball. I'm really looking forward to seeing where this tale goes next.
- Lemon-GruberRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I always liked time loop stories, and even if I have not yet passed the first loop I can already feel the great potential of it in this story.
They are many possibilities of developpement and i can't wait to see what/where he will do/go in the next time loop, how will his interactions with other character change/evolve.
Gladly recommend - AstraelRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5Solid premise, good prologue.
The story starts really strong and doesn't disappoint during the first ~50 chapters. After that, the MC takes his time, explores the city and we are being buried beneath massive worldbuilding chapters, that are being explained and not being explored. It's becoming a slog to read along, but still, I have high hopes for the story and I am going to give it 4.5 stars. If there are massive changes or if it won't get better in the future, I will change my review... - Nomad1791Royal Road★★★★★ 4.5Someone already left a crap review because they felt mcs main power is op, dude this story so new and so few chapters mc hasn't even used it yet? I feel like I must leave a early review. Gonna try and make it quick and dirty. Mc is ok he's kinda too naive in my book and trusting but the word hes been transferred too is very forgiving so far and in just a jaded asshole anyway. Speach doesn't flow, feels kinda stilted but still world is getting fleshed out, mc is likable which is really hard to find lately, can't judge the side characters yet no where near enough material to do so and magic system seems cool really like the little boxes way more than the typical blues. That's probably why I'm rating it so high for so little I can tell the author's put a lot of work I to what they have and I appreciate them sending it out into the world to be enjoyed. I'll update my review at 50 chapters in. Good luck author 👍 I'm at chapter 17 and also the guy that wrote the crap review needs spell check. Shesh his crap review is so baddly written it hurt to read.🤣 He compared it to another looping story that I don't even think is well established yet just dude why you gotta bomb shit.
- The novel novel readerRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5I've been following this story since almost the beginning now, and I thought it was about time for a review.
I'll start with talking about it's pacing, which is where most of the complaints come from. And I think there's two problems that people have with it.
First problem is that it's slow, and it is, out of novels I've read it's one of the slowest ones, personally I don't have a problem with slow pacing, but a lot of people do and if you're put off by that I'd give this one a miss.
Second problem is the update speed, which is glacial, it really is. Which makes is seem even slower than it actually is since without updates it feels slower.
Both of these things together make the story's pacing seem mindblowingly slow at times, so it's natural to feel frustrated if you're looking for action, but this isn't a complaint of the story, I'm just trying to shed some light from my perspective.
The style is solid, written in a way that's compatible to time skips and such, similar to Mother Of Learning 4.5/5
The story is, as far as I can tell, steady. It's not elaborate, but it doesn't strike me as aimless. My opinion on this might change later when more chapters are available. 4/5
I've yet to spot a grammar error, which either means there aren't any it They're not immersion breaking, either way no complaints. 5/5
The Characters are a bit harder to judge, the MC is a bit of a loner and the other characters have personality. This story isn't built around character interactions so if that's what you like I'd consider reading something else.
All in all its a solid 4.5/5 for me. I've got no complaints about it but I can understand if somebody doesn't like it. My best advice is that if you like Mother Of Learning you'll probably like this. - alphaReviewsRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5I had passed on this in the past due to the several harsh critiques with lots of upvotes, but upon finally getting around to reading the story, I found that it was excellent and *far* better than nearly all the other time loop stories on this site.
The story is excellently crafted. The grammar is good, the MC is likable and smart, the dialogues are good, the world building is excellent and original, the action is good (although I wish there was more, as the early loops are very training-focused, which does make sense).
The top critique falsely implies that the shop system is being abused by allowing the MC to buy anything at any time, when in fact purchase points are relatively rare and the vast majority of the skills and loot need to be acquired independently.
Many details in the time loop are done particularly well, like the impact of losing all the friendships and bonds, as well as limits to how the time loop can be used by the MC.
The second most liked review spoils much of the story without spoiler tags and is very unfair. My advice to the author: don't let the trolls and creeps get you down. Instead, use the anger to motivate yourself to continually improve and write even better. No one can stop you when you do your real best, and success will innevitably follow! - HimRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0Hello, I've read the first 6 chapters, and I believe it's too early to leave a review but I also believe theres so stuff I must warn furtur readers.
This looks like an excellent start to a good average mainstream isekai story.
The grammar seems solid and the flow is good.
But here's the catch I just can't read this novel, I tried and tried over 3 days to gather interested. But I've already read this, it's just so basic. If your new to webnovels and litrpg its pretty good.
Chapter 6 is where I just can't go one. And the reason is pretty simple, it treats me as an idiot.
So you have a world of constant warfare, the MC stumbles upon a fortified city. And well goes to explain to the reader why the city must be defend.
An actual statement said :
Their flame-resistance seemed quite valuable in the case of an enemy attack. On Earth, such walls would have been used to defend against other human invaders. Here they were likely built to hold out a very different force.
There were what looked like arrow slits all over the trees. They must have somehow hollowed out spaces within the trees in order to fight back from within the walls. They clearly took their own protection very seriously.
I mean of course. People dont like to be killed.
It's those constant remarks that well breaks all interest. I mean an other example is when the MC sees magic gardening, and learns crops takes a week to grow. The MC then explains to us that : oh so no hunger.
Well duh, its only logical.
An other aspect that's jarring is the intro. He has 30 minutes to ask a lot of questions and he doesn't. The novel treats stats as something we should know, how they work ect ect. The MC doesn't even questions how stats work how they'll affect his live, what soul force is, he doesn't even open his statu , instead from one sentence to the other minutes pass.
So either he talks extremely slowly or he is dumb. And either case that's not enjoyable. Hell maybe play up the panic, I dont know. It's just jarring.
And
