Enna is a Land God: Book 2
Community Rating
Description
The Goregek goblin king is dead and Enna's life is starting to settle into a comfortable rhythm. The Foxes are content and thriving and the goblins seem as if they have a new lease on life, ruled by their new king, Margund. But you can't live in a forest of monsters without there being some kind of drama, and it is just Enna's luck that she finds herself in the middle of it once again. There is a shadow growing in the center of her new nation, and it threatens to shatter the fragile peace the young god had just begun to create. Good and evil collide, and friends are found in the strangest of places. And to top it all off, there is tension brewing in human kingdom to the south and worry to the west. Can this new monster nation withstand the coming storm, or will they fall to man and beast alike?

- GrayloreRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I continue to enjoy this series. There are dark moments, but similarly to my favorite story in this subgenre - 'A Real Goddess Would Let Nobody Die' - the situation gets turned around into something positive. What happened to the Horror was a perfect example. This sort of storytelling creates an underlying brightness and optimism that is a continuing pleasure to read. I will note that there are spelling mistakes, but if you're prepared to overlook them this story is a lot of fun. I also like the little teasers in which we see glimpses of some of the other countries and lay the foundation for future story threads.
