Energy Eater [Post Apocalyptic Litrpg]

Description
Humanity's spot at the top of the food chain was taken. Now we are the prey.
Fifty years ago, the human race lost the war against the Eaters—beings that defied not just our understanding, but the laws of nature themselves. Their overwhelming strength drove humanity to the brink of extinction. Those of us who survived now live in hiding, as I have my entire life: worried about making noise, scavenging for scraps, and fleeing from shadows.
But in that darkness, I found something extraordinary. A tool no human has ever discovered before: the System. With its power, I can heal my wounds, kill monsters, and perform feats I never imagined possible. Only to learn that most of the world has already been transformed by these same forces.
Animals evolve into nightmarish creatures. Weapons gain deadly enchantments. Ordinary caves become treacherous dungeons.
Even worse, I'm not alone in wielding this power. Other species have possessed this ability since birth. They've had generations to master what I'm only beginning to understand.
But I can share this gift with other humans. I can give us a fighting chance.
The question remains: will this spark of hope become just another candle snuffed by the wind, or will it ignite the blazing inferno of humanity's resurgence?

- HydemhariRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Energy Eater is a true work of art. From the first pages, I was completely captivated by the engaging and captivating narrative that the author has once again managed to create. The way he describes the setting and the action scenes is simply magnificent. I simply love Cass! I feel like she is a close friend. ❤
I can visualize every detail with impressive clarity. It was as if I were there with her, experiencing every moment. (I'm trying not to fill this with spoilers)
Perizou has a rare talent for creating worlds that not only capture the imagination, but also awaken an unrestrained curiosity and make us fall in love with the characters. With each chapter I find myself more involved, with a burning desire to know more.
The plot is exciting and full of twists and turns, the chapters I finished reading gave me goosebumps. I clearly remembered the feeling after finishing the first two chapters: "I really need this complete story now".
I recommend this novel to everyone! I usually have a hard time enjoying works of fiction after reading fantasy novels and other books, but Perizou's works always capture me and take me out of my literary slump, they involve me and I wish I had these works printed on my bookshelf yesterday!
READ IT, YOU WON'T REGRET IT. TRUST ME! ❤ - Sandro TurturroRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Energy Eater is a good novel, LitRGP and post-apocalyptic, as shown by the tags under the title.
In a post-apocalyptic world where there are monsters that can wipe out entire towns, like a dungeon boss, people don't use technology because they are attracted to it.
Under this premise, Cass manages to defeat one of these monsters called eaters.
The story is well told, focusing on adventures, with a good amount of system elements from time to time, but without becoming blue text walls.
The style and grammar seem impeccable to me, at least they are the style I like.
The character is relatively strong and determined, and definitely reminds me of the protagonist of Azalith Healer (I hope I wrote the title right).
The only elements I don't like so much are that the system is of the type that responds, which luckily it doesn't do much, and that the system only has two attributes, but these things are simply personal preferences. I like that there's some uncertainty in where attributes can be placed (maybe it changes over time or with enough skills), and that the protagonist can have conversations with the system has always seemed odd to me. Luckily the conversations seem to be done with Alexas or similar devices, and not with a system with a real personality.
PS: One thing I forgot to write before is that although there are unfortunately not many comments on this novel, in this and in his other novel the author is attentive and interacts as much as possible, both in the comments themselves and in announcements and such things.
It doesn't always happen in all novels, but it is very much appreciated that the authors have some kind of feedback with the readers. Sometimes it is annoying that a chapter doesn't come out one day, or one month for that matter, and the author doesn't comment anything (yes, All The Skills, I'm looking at you). - Tr13zeRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This one of the realy good novel.
It's well written and the story is logical an d the follow up us made regular profile update. For a system novel novel it's one of the best i have read with btth and tha azarynt healer .
Sorry english is not my first langage - Gael FerrerRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5Great novel so far. Takes its time to develop itself, making sure to make a 'rpg like game system' as grounded as possible in a broken world with a post apocalyptic vibe.
The story takes itself serious in a controled manner. Doesnt lean too much into despair, recreating on it. Instead It deals with the consequences of tragedy as a tool to bring the characters to the places they stand on.
If the general quality and innovative ideas keep being this strong for 100 more chapters, I could see this becoming one of the best novels Ive ever read on RoyalRoad. And one of the only ones to get close to the 'Masterpiece' category.
So if you were thinking about it, yes, its worth your time.
-------------
Highlights:
Diegetic gaming-like system explained in a grounded way that feels as realistic as possible.
Flawed characters with different views.
Large scope from the beginning.
Original main character with room to grow but a defined personality that permates into her decision making.
Things I might change:
A little too many technical explanations about how everything works from the system perspective, takes up too much story and gets a little into the narrative flow.
