Description

Every military and nuclear site on earth is eradicated in the blink of an eye. A distant alien species deems the human race unworthy, so sets the world a new challenge, infusing earth with magic and monsters. The story watches the world descend into chaos and anchors around 5 main characters learning how to navigate magic, strengthen their skills, overcome challenges and make sense of the changing world around them.

I upload new chapters twice per week; each Sunday and one work week (depending how tough work is!) - first time writing fiction, but I'm loving the process.

Overall: I thought that End of the World as we Knew It was an excellent apocalypse LitRPG set in London. It is able to simultaneously give good characterization to several characters while also succinctly introducing the game system.
Style: I particularly liked the author's writing style. The story did an equally good job of introducing the characters and game System that was imposed on the world after the System apocalypse occurred. The System was only in place for a little while before I could see interesting uses of the game system. All of the main characters get a class as soon as they are awakened by the System, and these classes all come with really interesting abilities that mesh well with each other. The Thief character can infinitely spawn throwing knives and the Sorceress character can throw fireballs. The use of italics whenever characters spoke was a bit jarring, but it is easy to look passed once you get used to it.
Grammar: There were a few grammatical errors, but it didn't interfere with the reading experience.
Story: As far as I have read, the story is essentially an apocalypse LitRPG set in London. The use of the System is very interesting, and the characters are not sidelined by the game elements. The characters act believably, and you even see the beginning of a response from the British government.
Character: I thought the characters were the strongest aspect of this story. The characters in LitRPGs are often sidelined in order for more focus to be put on the mechanics of the game system, but that does not happen in this story. The characters act like normal Londoners put in a difficult position.

Well written, reasonable postulate.  Sufficiently advanced alien eco ? absolutists bring down the hammer and unleash the genre gamelit apocalypse.  Random ordinary people seem to be getting screens and struggling to cope with new powers bringing new responsibilities. It's in British English, as such it's more literate than American English. I'm qualified to opine because British is my mother's tongue and American my father's.
