What is what we love in fantasy? Adventure, a properly built world, maybe the different and interesting races. But one of the things I think fantasy suffers from is characters. Usually the author is too invested in the world to make memorable characters or just interesting ones at least. R.A.Salvatore's books suffer from this. Even trough 30 books the main character (who is hundreds of years old) still changed so minimaly that it is almost laughable. In Lord Of The Rings the MC was just simply unintersting. Nothing about him was special in any shape or form. On this sight I read a fair amount of books at this point. This novel is great. The MC is good. Feels like a proper mentaly broken person, and his humor often times feels very legit. I can probably point out two similar novels on this site. Void Wolf and Jacob Willbreaker. These novels are both interesting, fantastical and finnaly, they are new. With new ideas and great characters. This novel is underrated as hell btw.

This story have similarity like Overlord, so that's a plus. The pace looks good, not too slow or too fast; just right for this type of fiction. The edited chapter looks more fleshed out than the unedited, giving more flow for the writing. I hope there'll be more permanent side characters for the MC to interact in the future

I basically always write review by starting on bad things, but now I have none. This story is really good, writing style is really good, easy to understand what is happening and what MC or side characters think while not giving to much information to reader, leaving us with a bit of mystery.
Story is thought out, even when writing MC past, it doesn't feel forced(like when others just write like mc had flashback out of nowhere)
Characters are believable, likeable and interesting.
Also I like that while mc have reincarnated numerious times, he isn't written like know it all mc.
didn't found anythink to reduce stars given, so 5/5.

It might be a bit early to write a review for a story since there are only nine chapters out at the moment. The beginning is a bit vague but makes sense once you've made it past a couple of chapters.
I myself am a fan of the dark, fantasy, swords and magic genre with an overpowered main character so this is straight up my alley. I look forward to more chapters and hope that it isn't dropped.

The story starts slow, I mean really slow, the first 9 chapters or so feel like a prologue really, a better writer would have covered it faster or made it more interesting. Nevertheless, from chapter 10 and onwards it's on.
The style is simple third person, nothing good or bad about it, it just works, the grammar has been spotless as far as I've seen but I had to skim quite a bit of wasteful writing so I bet I missed something... nevertheless, the grammar won't bother anyone, only expect very minor mistakes.
The story... The story as I said starts slow, way too fucking slow, it takes forever to get to the point, but when it finally does it's pretty good, we have a cunning protagonist who favors planning ahead and getting others to work for him, he has necromancer~esque abilities to complement that personality of his, and he's powerful enough to play god... In a sense, yet he's no good in a fight, the only combat moves he's shown are AOE types, e.g. he can mow down weaklings but I suspect he can't do the same for those who are actually strong. No such character has made such an appearance in the 37 chapters I've read yet so I wouldn't know for sure.
But what sets this story apart, is that nevermind anti-hero, our protagonist her is a villain of comparable proportions to Thanos :D but if you'll recall, Thanos had very good reasons, and so does Aleks. His raison d'etre is to bring the gods, every last one of the gods, to their knees, in fact I think he won't be satisfied until he swallows their souls and uses them up like batteries, which is his special ability as the 'hero' of this story.
For reference for what kind of protagonist we're dealing with, starting at chapter 10 he starts systematically dismantling a city, and by dismantling I mean creating massacres of slowly increasing proportions. We have a guy who will sacrifice everyone and everything to achieve his goals with a mindset of "if I don't consume their souls, they will just grant power to the gods, they're

    About a story: spoilers?
MC is a soul that suffers from gods  punishment. The punishment is simple. The soul when reincarnates have the life full of misery and then it dies a horrible death, but the soul found a loophole that it decides to use.
What I mean by being the same as other on this site?
Our main villain (surely not hero) is said to live for hundreds of reincarnations,  as the author said thousands of years of punishment. Guy behaves like a teenager. The enemies of  MC are created only to be smashed by his flawless plans which 10 year old would be able to design.
The companions of the MC are one dimensional beings created to listen, obey and slaughter.
Though that actualy is compatible with the story.

While the story is unique and imaginative it is not nearly enough to be truly good.  Often suffering from a 'Tell rather than Show' style and characters that don't ever really get a chance to evolve organically.

its good but it's not great I don't know why all the reviews have given are all 5 to 4 the story starts slow too fucking slow it is like waiting for a 90-year-old to walk across the sidewalk too fucking slow for anyone to like the style is simple, not bad but it is not good either the grammar is definitely up there the grammar is all good. Characters I don't know what to say about them good or bad? its hard to say but ill give them a 6.5/10 I also feel the description is a bit misleading

I couldn't decide between a 4 star which is what I believe this novel deserves or a 1 star for the author suddenly dropping it at chapter 100 in the middle of the climax. This novel is conflicting because on one hand it's one of the best I've read one the site while also being one of the ones I regret reading the most. My recommendation is not to read it until the author picks it back up again (which I'm doubtful will happen)
