- Manitee93Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0If fantasy is your thing, I highly recommend checking this story out. This is a really cool concept that I only recently found out about. I really like video games and fantasy, so it's really cool to see the opportunities VR could create in the future. The story starts with a lesbian couple when suddenly one of them is placed in a fantasy world. Later you meet another main character and the story changes to their prespective. Switching between the characters allows you to see the world differently while also giving you a glimpse into their personalities. The world itself seems very expansive. Standard fantasy races are fleshed out instead of just using the same tropes. There are also a new fantasy races introduced. Each NPC has their own personality. Everyone comes from diverse backgrounds. The world is very clearly well thought out. I'm super excited to see how this world develops and to see the different characters interact with everything. I'm excited to see how the main characters navigate this new world.
In terms of the writing itself, the story flows pretty well, with focus on important events without getting bogged down in minute details. With a lot of authors self-publishing, it's refreshing to see a story that's been well edited. When there are too many typos, it can be difficult to get through a story. This story reads really well, transitions are handled nicely. I really hope the author continues this story because I see a lot of great potential and I already love the main characters. - legodpsRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I've read the first couple chapters and am partway through the third. I'm really enjoying it so far! The characters feel like they have a lot of personality and have good fleshing out, and the world feels thoughtful. The descriptions of the world feel very immersive and let me picture this world well! I also enjoyed the ending of chapter 1 a lot!
