- rookieReaderRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5The story’s back! I was really into the world-building and characters in the first book, and it kept up in the second one too. The grammar can be a bit wonky sometimes, but the dialogue and conversations are really well-written. I can really feel the emotions of the characters. Compared to the first book, the action is a bit slow-paced, but it only has 50 chapters, and we had a major encounter. I like that Hans is still reckless and a bit of do-first-think-later guy and finds himself in some thrilling situations. I can feel some major plots which were foreshadowed in first book coming to life. And Man! Reina seems a very complicated character.
I can’t say much about the rest, but overall I enjoyed it.
Story Enjoyment: Overall, I enjoyed the book.
Writing Quality: The dialogue and conversations are well-written, but the grammar can be a bit wonky.
Pace: The action is a bit slow-paced compared to the first book.
By the way, it would be great if you could re-edit the first book. I can clearly see how much you’ve grown as a writer just by reading it. Make the first book as good as the second one. Since new readers might be put off by the amateurish writing in the first book (no offence, I enjoyed it too, but just saying), it would be a great improvement.
