On a frozen, irradiated Earth, the last remnants of society live underground, fighting to preserve life in a world swallowed by nuclear winter and mutation. On Mars, the remnants of the elite thrive in a sterile colony built by sacrifice, maintained by an exhausted, resentful engineer class.

Amid the ruins of their civilizations, two unlikely heroes—one Earthbound, one Martian—must rise. Each is trapped in a system they never chose, forced to confront the crumbling ideals of a world long gone. One battles to save what’s left of the physical world. The other, the soul of humanity itself.

But to protect what they love, they'll have to make impossible choices. How much will they give to change the future—and what will they lose in the process?
