Elemental Chrysanthemum Homeland Online

Description
Gaming company Heraldic Echo has launched their long-awaited VRMMO,Elemental Chrysanthemum Homeland Online, to much fanfare. But only the rich or truly dedicated can afford their own cutting-edge full immersion pods. Everyone else will have to make due with renting time at company-owned game centers in major cities around the world.Alexander and Alexandra are in the former category after a lucky lottery win catapulted them to the life, if not lifestyle, of the idle rich. They join the game on launch day, but circumstances and differing interests start them on completely different paths. Will the twins reunite in the game, or will they continue on their separate ways, only meeting across the dinner table outside virtual reality? Follow the protagonist as new friends are made and old friendships strengthened in this character-driven, slice-of-life LitRPG without all the overarching (and overbearing) plot points that weigh down other tales.Players don't face permadeath, nobody's trapped in the game, the real world isn't about to end, and power-levels don't start at massively overpowered as a baseline. Unique achievements and server firsts do abound, but the main characters only capture a few of them; they aren't the only players in the world, after all!----Intended update schedule iscurrently the 10th, 20th, and 30th of each monthonce or twice a month, probably at irregular timing, but variable schedules and other commitments may interfere.

- GomuRoyal Roadā ā ā ā ā 5.0I've really been enjoying this story... it has so many possibilities! I hope the author will continue posting chapters soon. š
- NamelessNathanRoyal Roadā ā ā ā ā 5.0After re-reading this for about the fiftieth time, and since we're just over a volume in, I decided I may as well put in my two cents in the form of a review. I really enjoy this novel. It does many things well and takes an interesting approach on the saturated VRMMO genre. It sets itself apart in several ways from the majority of VRMMO novels right off the bat.
The strongest aspect of this novel so far is the characters. Every character so far has been memorable and unique. They each have their own unique personalities and traits, and this goes for every minor character the main character, Alexander, interacts with. Unfortunately, we haven't had a long time to see interactions with the supporting characters who are beginning to join the main character's party, but they still possess the same amount of uniqueness all the characters have shown to set themselves apart from one another. Hopefully, they will be able to grow alongside the main character as the story continues, but that'll come later on. The main character has already shown some growth by the end of volume one, so I trust Nahonia in this regards.
The story does have flaws, however. It has weak opening chapters, with the first feeling very generic and the second containing an info dump to expedite the world building and game mechanics, unfortunately. The writing quality begins to drastically increase a chapter into Character Creation, however, so don't feel dissuaded from giving this story a shot.
The world building is great for what it is. Beyond the basic premise of having a VRMMO, we get to see several aspects which add to this basic idea. The company that runs the game gets a substantial amount of spotlight, and we see aspects of the game such as its marketing, the handling of bugs and cheater, hotfixes and the like. The game actually feels like a game, and the company runs it like one.
One other thing to note is the action. It is well done, though I wouldn't call it anything amazing yet. The fights so - hatoyin97Royal Roadā ā ā ā ā 5.0Well...

*Licks Lips*%Slurp%% - MrMndsRoyal Roadā ā ā ā ā 4.5Impressive first chapter, you can perfectly guess every trait of your protagonist, how he sees the world and I ended it with a smile, not the regular anxiety / WTF face / rage I often feel onĀ RRL, thanks dude, IĀ appreciateĀ your work.
- pewpewcachooRoyal Roadā ā ā 3.0This is not bad, but needs some work. The text is pretty chunky and could be broken up. It would help with reading and you could also make the dialogue pieces be seperate from the big blocks of text. The writng is okay, the grammar is alright. It really just needs a good edit and clean up.
