It was a quaint day in the swamp Egosum called home. His future was bright and his opportunities were endless.

Their civilization had been elevated from mud-crawling beasts to bipedal mages through the leadership of their almighty Mageking.

Prosperity and fertility spread throughout the swamp he loved. This all changed one day when his life and the kingdom he lived in was altered forever.

Egosum must harness his newfound powers and carve out a chunk of the world for himself and his displaced kin.

However, his morphing tail and small size aren't the only issues he will have in doing so.

The characters, dialogue, and setting are unique and humorously entertaining. Outside of the humor there isn't much that you would find extremely gripping emotionally, but that can be forgiven and expected due to the MC being a frog. There is a fair amount of intrigue, mystery, and worldly interactions that fuel character development for our main cast thus far. I would recommend this novel to anyone who appreciates dark humor, character development, and power progression in their characters.

I like it, a neat lil toad on their adventures and making new friends. Fun twists on magic and a nice vague future in regards to what growing stronger in magic holds. Complete with tragic backstory, and moral greyness that matches Elosum's personality. I've read an incredible number of fight scenes and I like these ones, the opponents also have tricks up their sleeves. Stories where the character is OP in a world of magic and their opponents don't have any cool tricks kinda bother me, so it's nice this is more 'realistic'
