Eclipsed Ascension

In a world where gates to dungeons appear randomly, unleashing deadly monsters, humanity has adapted by awakening individuals with superhuman abilities to combat the chaos. These people, called Hunters, are ranked according to their strength, with the S-rank being the pinnacle of power. But in Africa, Hunters face unique challenges—untamed landscapes, political unrest, and resource shortages that make survival even more treacherous.

Kofi Ajani, a lowly E-rank Hunter in Accra, Ghana, is known as the "Fodder King" because of his knack for barely scraping by in the weakest of dungeons. Humiliated by his peers and underestimated by society, he dreams of a life beyond mediocrity.

But everything changes when he stumbles upon a hidden dungeon within a collapsing gate—one that shouldn't exist. Inside, Kofi encounters a mysterious "Obsidian Spirit," an ancient force tied to Africa's forgotten mythology. The spirit grants him a system known as "The Eclipse Codex," which allows him to grow stronger by defeating monsters and absorbing their essence, much like a solo player grinding levels. However, there's a cost: the power he gains also feeds the spirit, which hungers for domination.

Now, Kofi must balance his newfound strength with the looming threat of losing himself to the spirit's influence. As he rises through the ranks of Hunters, challenging corrupt guilds, ancient monsters, and even rival nations, Kofi discovers that the gates in Africa are different. They hide secrets connected to the continent's ancestral deities—Orisha, Loa, and spirits long thought to be myths.

Will Kofi harness his power to save Africa from an impending catastrophe, or will he succumb to the spirit's ambition and become the greatest threat of all?
