Chapter one of Eclipseborn holds much promise and is a great start to a compelling story. Thorne's sees his world torn away around him in chaos and destruction to be thrust into another world. Is he dead? Dreaming? Or worse? I'm invested in learning more about what fate has in store for Thorne.

So much effort went into creating the almost barren world Thorne is dumped in. I can only hope the payoffs at the end are equally well created. Overall, things are moving smoothly, but the formatting of the page itself is distracting. Frequent page breaks disrupt the flow. I understand what they are trying to achieve and their purpose, but my opinion is they cause a bigger problem then they solve. Thorne's character is a bit shallow right now, but I'm challenging that up to the story is just starting. It's a beautiful word drawing many Norse mythology aspects, and something I want to see grow.
