I can see that the author has a lot of promise and is figuring out their writing as the story progresses. The premise and idea are cool, and it is easy to read and enjoy. I am looking forward to seeing how the plot unfolds. The dialogue seems to be improving as well throughout the book and the plot seems to be thickening.

Story idea is strong but the execution left a lot to be desired. The dialogue is not good and the flow of the story is a bit hard to get into. It starts strong but buy the 8th chapter you are wondering if it's almost over. Again I am not trying to be harsh I think the story has great potential. Just need to work on flow and dialogue.
