Description

At Greylock University, time doesn’t flow—it twists. Freshman Lance Weaver arrives eager to pursue his dreams in digital art, but the campus’s ancient clock tower, erratic schedules, and unshakeable deja vu shatter any hope of normalcy. Seconds loop and stretch unnaturally, lectures repeat endlessly, and each clock displays a different hour. As Lance struggles to fit in, he’s torn between forming authentic connections—like with Maya, whose artwork evokes tranquil awe—and evading classmate Cade’s sharp retorts. Each twist compels Lance to hone his craft, bolster his confidence, and deepen his understanding of a world where time itself seems sentient. With the guidance of enigmatic professors, hauntingly intricate architecture, and fleeting traces of hidden history, Lance must unravel Greylock’s temporal mysteries before he risks being forever ensnared in a moment that refuses to pass.

Starting off with the grammar as it's the easiest to review: there are very few mistakes throughout the story and they're all incredibly minor, stuff you can easily look over like individual letter typos.
For style, this may be an intentional choice, given the nature of the story, but my one criticism of it is the repeated use of phrases across multiple chapters like how the clock tower is described as being as if reality couldn't agree on the time.
The overall style of the story is very nice with vivid descriptions of how the time anomalies feel to experience.
The story is really interesting so far, with far more questions being created than get answered each chapter. It's a slower burn than some stories I've read but the extra time taken really allows for great detail about how things are taking a toll on the main character.
The characters are well written so far and the interactions feel real. An especially good example of this is the cafeteria scene and the final message learned from that.
Overall, I'm definitely a fan and will be adding this to my reading list so I can follow along when it gets updated
