Description

The tide of years washes over the lands and in its wake civilisations and nations vanish, leaving behind only monuments of past glories, forgotten ruins buried beneath the sands and hidden tombs.

Within them can be found the wealth of the past by those skilled and lucky enough, wealth enough for a lifetime.  The ruins do not give up their treasures easily though, for often they are guarded by traps and wards or worse.

Kathri, the daughter of exiles and mistrusted for her nature,  is one such who plunders the ruins of the past, having both the skill and the luck to survive.

Danger comes from not just from within though, as there are rivals who would do whatever it takes to beat her to the treasures, and also the Mages and the Kingdoms of the Ciosalan Conclave that have proclaimed that the Mages alone have the rights to search through the ruins and who punish severely any caught plundering.

It may turn out though that the greatest danger is what lies in the ruins that seeks to get out…

Style: I like how the Author uses Interior monologue to give an insight to the mc's personality. Works well b/c there is only one other known alive character at this point. Formatting and font makes it feel more important which I like.
Story: Story is good so far but nothing really major has happened in any of the chapters regarding the growth of the character. Could just be that author is still setting up this world.
Grammar: this is probably the weakest part of the book so far. Sentences can be clunky due to redundant phrasing and long sentences. Additionally author uses a little bit of discreet vocab that some may not know, which can be a boon or a bane. However, with the limited amount of chapters out right now, I see a steady increase of proficient use of grammar, and I hope this continues. I also do recognize that this is more like a first draft, but I like the premise and hope that it can become on the level of published books someday.
Characters: I like the mc so far, from what we have seen it seems that she has a complicated backstory worth investigating. The other alive character is a little bit bland, but this guy might be a side character so it's fine for now. One issue I have is their dialogue, it suffers from the grammar and the grammar for realistic speech, but as the grammar improves I also think the dialogue improves. I hope author will flesh out their personalities even further so we can really get to know our mc.
Overall: Promising story with an interesting concept, but suffers from prose issues. However I think this can be remedied and this story can really turn into something great. Looking forward to reading more!
