As usual an absolute banger by Void Herald!
The humor is on point, the plot is very compelling and the characters are all very unique.
As i am told it is a kind of spiritual sucessor to Magik online, but i have not read that one. Still, Dungeon wreckers is absolutely worth a read, especially if you have read the perfect run.

Void has once again proven his storytelling prowess with this new release. Similar to The Perfect Run, this story employs a comparable power system, but instead of elixirs, the characters use spells, adding a refreshing twist. The world-building, as always, is well-thought-out, and the magic system feels intricate without being overwhelming. This balance is something Void consistently does well, and it’s clear he’s perfected the art of crafting engaging systems that enhance the narrative. The characters are a standout feature. So far, none of the main crew have come across as annoying or one-dimensional, which is often a concern in many stories. Instead, they’re engaging, relatable, and complement one another in a way that feels natural. It’s clear that Void has put a lot of effort into making sure the dynamic between them is both fun and meaningful, and it adds a lot to the overall enjoyment of the story. What excites me most is the huge potential for this story’s growth. The groundwork has been laid for something truly spectacular, and I can’t wait to see how the plot unfolds. If you enjoy stories with unique power systems and well-developed characters, this one is definitely worth checking out. Highly recommended!

Another really good story from a great author. The story has an interesting depth, as comedy and insane grimdark dance with eachother, while absurdism touches itself in a corner.
Characters are flawed humans, the universe is interesting, and the stakes are high.
    A real world 7,5 but a clear RR 5.

Its nice to see a return to a more light-hearted story after the darker ones the author has made recently, especially since always nice to have an escape from RL worries and just have fun with things.
Also nice to see return of author's color power system, and thus add this story into his own literary multiverse.
Overall, the story is a great fusion of classic dungeon stories mixed with slice-of-life as the MC and his team balance school life with the fact they are some of the few people in the world that can prevent invading Dungeons from eating people and warping reality too much. Sure its a tough job, but at the same time getting superpowers out of it helps ease the burden.
Main characters are fun and very real feeling, sounding a lot like your various kinds of teens dealing with stressful afterschool jobs that in this case involves killing monsters and slaying people eating space distorting locations, with even a wise and empathic mentor figure helping them along.
Writing, grammar, and style are top notch, as expected of a work by VoidHerald, and as a patreon member of his with access to advanced chapters I can assure you the story only gets better, the characters deeper, and world wider as learn more about it and how things escalate in typical Voidy fashion given his history with stories.
Its a great addition to his collection of stories, and I surely hope more people read and enjoy it as much as I do.

This story is captivating! The novel’s standout feature is its intricate and well-thought-out power system, which combines unique abilities, and innovative applications of magic and combat skills. If you've read the author other novel Perfect Run (go read it) you'll understand a couple of things more, but it's absolutly not necessary to read it.
Matthew, however, is the true heart of the story. I find him funny, charismatic and his past and the Mall (a Dungeon) quite intriguing.
Overall, Dungeon Wreckers offers a perfect mix of action, slice of life, and exploration. If you love some dungeon-crawling adventures you're going to love this novel.

I love the world building and connection to the other pieces of fiction that Void has written.
Overall this is a relatively straightforward beginning with a few mysteries already present. The crew is interesting, with plenty of bones to grow details on. I think this is on of those novels that will build and grow on you as you read.
Highly recommend to anyone who enjoyed his previous work, much lighter than most of them so far, which isnt a bad thing.

The story is really original, with no certitude in the future of any characters. It's well written, with some dry humour and quite realistic for me. Be aware that it's a bit dark. But still one of the best I have read on RR. I hope that you will enjoy at least as much as me !

If you haven’t read this yet do. And if it’s been stubbed then give buying it serious consideration.
The story is a solid self contained book that requires no prior knowledge but does connect to some of their previous works. I can vouch that prior reading is unnecessary as I haven’t read any of the other works before.
The magic system is very well designed in that is feels soft and flexible enough to provide variety, but is hard enough that it has well defined rules and feels that it follows them. Hitting that sweet spot is extremely rare.
The characters feel fully formed and even when we can’t explore them due to the steady pace of the tale they give hints of their depths. This isn’t a story of paladins, villains, or even anti-heroes. This is a story about people. Albeit ones with rocking and varied magic powers.
The story lays out all you need to know in a natural and organic fashion while you follow a fun and emotional adventure. Weaving everything together at the end for a satisfying close.
I’m not sure what else I can add without hitting spoilers so I will just end with a further encouragement to go and try it yourself.
I would highly recommend it and feel that all the stars I’m voting here were thoroughly earned.

Dungeon Wreckers is on the surface a light-hearted story about teenagers getting powers and saving the world, but underneath deals with really heavy subjects without being too gritty, a highlight of this book is definitely the power system, as powers are defined, but leave a lot of room for creativity. The main character is really well written(though acts childish sometimes) and it is very easy to root for the main band of heroes.

Another story by Void is always a good time, especially when it touches on the lore that's been built up in other books.
Dungeon Wreckers is on the lighter side in terms of chapter length and style, especially considering the other stories we've seen from Void recently: Blood & Fur, Commerce Emperor, Gunsoul, etc. I'm here for it! I really enjoy the banter, the crazy dungeons/rifts, the characters that hide pain behind a facade of jokes.
What I love about this story, is that it deepens the lore we've seen in the Perfect Run for example. It's self-contained of course, but it's rewarding to follow an author and see breadcrumbs disseminated here and there, which show you that there's more to the current story and that a mythology is slowly being created.
It's indeed a good story on its own as well, the cast is attaching and sometimes infuriating but in a good sense, it's what you would expect from teenagers and young adults such as them. They have internal motivations and sometimes trauma, without falling into trauma porn, which I personally dislike.
What I enjoy as well: the story is clearly going somewhere; new information is impactful, things happen for a reason and we want the characters to keep moving and pushing so they can unveil the mystery of Dungeon appearing and why it happens faster.
Another hit in my book, my only critique is that the chapter are too short =)
