The author has created well-developed characters. At first, we know little about them, but as the story progresses, we gradually get to know them and their personalities through subtly placed fragments of information. The worldbuilding is top-notch and unique, steering clear of clichés. Each location is vividly painted, leaving no doubt that wherever we find ourselves, it is awe-inspiring, beautiful, and at times frightening and dangerous. The third-person narration is excellent. I never felt there were any issues with perspective; it’s always clear what is happening and to whom. The events flow seamlessly and are rich in complexity. This novel is a true gem.
