- Red YetiRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0It took a little bit to get into at first because the writing structure is so different from what I'm used to. I picked this up three times and only got through the story on the third try. Once I got past the first page though I genuinely read this all in one sitting. Some wonderful twists, unique story telling, and a great dungeon.
- perfectgeneralRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0You know how in series the characters just keep going? Growing from story arc to story arc...without end. This story involves growth of another sort. It is limited and specific and when it is done the story is over. It feels complete and you know that there is something worthwhile in the telling and the reading.
- regikRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0It's refreshing to find a story on this site that is story-sized and complete. It's even better when it's well written.
The humour in this is top-notch and the story beats are as wild and unpredictable as they come. It initially presents itself as a dungeon core litrpg (which are hardly hard to find on this site) but surprise! It is a masterful bait and switch. There are rpg elements in the same way that a bad smell sometimes lingers after an angry curry but the game elements are really there to set the scene for a different type of story which makes for a refreshing change of pace from many more blue-box heavy narratives.
The writing is inspired and it'd be a shame if you didn't at least give this story a go. - BadKneesPleaseRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5This is a very good book, in which to say it is a book, and it is very good. I have laughed out loud at every chapter so far, and think this is in my top 10 books on royal road, and I've read every single book on RR. (Every. Single. One.) My one gripe would be that sometimes the comedy feels a bit to forced, but it's a free book, I couldn't do any better, so 9/10 from me.
Love - BadKneesPlease - WaryorWearyRoyal Road★★★★ 3.5I think it's the no cursing filter concept, but it's also the whole thing. The 18 entries so far have been running at a breakneck pace on a tightrope and cracking wise.
The problems are real, the characters are sketched well enough that the reader can fill in a lot of details (right or wrong) and pick favorites. MC is my type of ashore, with relatable issues and... I've said enough.
Enjoying it immensely.
