Overall: dungeon inspector is a fun twist on dungeon diving fiction. The main character Arin is flawed with great potential, which is a fantastic place for a character to start. The perspective of an inspector who has to examine dungeons for the more traditional warriors is a really fun, and I found myself particularly enjoying the reports, which again make you think about dungeons in a completely new way.
My only real criticism is that I didn’t find a particularly strong story element to draw me into new chapters. The story does grow and become more interesting as you progress, but you kind of need to take each chapter as it comes, I don’t have burning questions or clear impressions of what the story can grow into.
Style: boldly first person. This is very well written, and well above average for royal road. First person is usually a little more introspective than this, but it’s not held back by it at all.
Story: a little weaker earlier on than the rest of the points that will draw you to this book. The setting, characters, and concept do the heavy lifting, at least in early chapters.
Character: very well developed. It’s not about whether Arin or the other key roles are likeable—which they are, it’s about how human and real they can feel. They have voices, perspective, and room to grow.
Grammar: excellent. Easy to read, good flow, fantastic grasp of the language.

Overall I feel like the biggest issue with the story are it's character and pacing. Arin wasn't the most fascinating MC I've read as of chapter 5. Even the other characters like anya or mortiz were uninteresting. Only briarwood was interesting but only at the last few paragraphs of chapter 5.
The story also feels a bit disconnected with the first 2 or 3 chapters. Where Arin and company see the formation of a new dungeon. Its taken as a considerable threat in the following chapter but instead of focusing on that we are taken to another assignment which really hurts the pace and doesn't come off as interesting or dangerous as the cryptshroud castle(i believe it was named).
Grammer: pretty good. I didn't have any issues with the grammer of the story
Style: the 1st person pov was a good choice for the author. It was pretty easy to read and the author clearly has experience writing in this format. The descriptive writing was good but I felt like it hurt the pacing at times and was overly abundant in the story.
All of this is as of chapter 5 and I dont have any idea if it improves in any of the issues I mentioned above in the later chapters.
