- VMJaskierniaRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0We get some nice quick backstory right from the start about Jordan, telling us about his life before finding himself in a dungeon. It also offers interesting implications for how he got to the Fae Wilds. We also meet up with a floating-eye dungeon core that is giving me Dungeons and Dragons vibes.
But here is where the protagonist differs from most in the genre. When allowed to choose a class, he doesn't go for power, or abilities that would strictly make him stronger, but he goes for the class that involves training others. Because who wants to wander a dungeon alone?
I do like him as a character. He thinks things through. And as we learn that he's in his early 30s, it's nice to see an 'older' character who thinks ahead and weighs his options instead of just going with whatever sounds the coolest at the moment.
Grammar wise, I saw no issues, and it was well written. I like the story so far, and the myriad of different characters and creatures we're encountering. It's a story written in first person too, but again, done well. It gives nice pulp fiction vibes- something fun and cool to read and see what happens next. - Dovienya18Royal Road★★★★ 4.0Where did all the chapters go?
Got to chapter 20 and like an hour later all the chapters are gone.
