Description
Freshly anointed cleric Tessa Vivuk aspires to be a Hero after having been saved by one as a child. But when she attempts to join the Heroes' Guild, the doors are shut on her. Unwilling to give up, she joins the Adventurers' Guild and believes she can earn enough recognition to one day be recognized and become a Hero. But Hei Zhao and Torgrak have other plans for her. After quietly sabotaging Tessa's first quest, they offer to be her mentors. Promising to make her amongst the strongest in the world while secretly turning her into a living weapon. Unaware of what's to come, she accepts. However, Hei and Torgrak have been issued a special mission as Custodians of the Adventurers' Guild. The extermination of a cultist infested town. Seeing this as the perfect opportunity, they kidnap Tessa in the night and drag her along with them to reforge Tessa's first weakness: her self-confidence.
(1st Arc Done)
7/7/2022: All past chapters have been condensed into 17. The story is slightly shorter than before and one chapter has been removed from the series as of current. I will be doing some organization of details before I start any work on the next story arc. I hope you enjoy and I will be continuing the series. Just doing some cooling off at the moment. :D

- BullerRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0You have to agree with the fact that the MC is just a bundle of innocence. Honestly, she believed a school diploma would put her at the same rank as the legends of the stories? Really? At some point, she must have asked herself if she was really doing this. Childish nativity can bring one far, yes, but this girl must be in a class of her own.
Dont have much else to say. Love that she is a healer. That class doesn't get enough love nowadays. Also, well done on grammar and stuff. Might not have been able to read the dwarvish accent that well but it definitely sounded correct. 5/5 from me - Lord TurtleRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5TLDR: It's setup well, got lots of potential, definitely a solid recommend.
This story so far seems pretty well thought out and gives us a world where there seems to be animosity between adventures and heroes, and all might not be what it seems. Whilst I wouldn't say our heronie is the most fleshed out character as of yet, her story is just getting started and based on what is currently here it is only going to get better. Furthermore the plot is still fairly focused but appears to be setting up a lot more future conflicts that will likely keep it going for a good while more. My only critque so far is that sometimes the character transitions feel a little abrupt and at a few points I have definitely gotten confused at when we swapped to some characters talking. However, that might be my own reading comprehension. Overall I would definitely giving this a read through or at least a follow for when more gets released. - luda305Royal Road★★★★ 4.0This is a difficult story to write a review for. I'm of several minds about it, and not really sure which remain pertinent.
I think I can definitely settle on one thing: The story doesn't fall within the expectations set by the synopsis. The synopsis and the tagging suggest a happy-go-lucky comedy about bringing a little realism to an overly naive and optimistic young cleric. What we get is
two of the strongest Adventurers bullying a young woman. Yes, they have an interest in her and seeing her grow stronger, but at what cost and do they have to be assholes about it? And that's not even getting into the other tragic elements of the story.
I suppose that it is comedic in some sense, and while it's not a sort of comedy I enjoy, more importantly, it's not at all expected from the synopsis. More grimdark and crapsack than "some tricksters see an opportunity for mischief."
The grammar and style are both done fairly well. Substantively, the plot runs into some issues where the author has to force it along by having some uncharacteristic or unexpected happen. The first ten or so chapters could have been condensed to five without significant loss. The protagonist has a distinctive character (if difficult to sympathize with given her excruciating naivety and childishness), while many of the secondary characters are distinctive as well if garishly cartoonish.
Bottom line, would I recommend it? If you enjoy the type of comedy described above, then I suppose it is one of the better works on the site. I do think the synopsis needs reworking (as of the time of this review).
