- Dylan DanielRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I found this book posted on Reddit and took the time to read it over. So far I am thoroughly enjoying this fiction! The strong and detailed use of imagery combined with the fascinating world building has made for a unique universe that has me desiring to read more. While as of this review there are only 7 chapters out the characters are especially well done. Primarily Kint and Elsha, to which they both have interesting personalities that bounce beautifully off one another. I do hope in the future we get to see and learn more of Lord Crecius, as he seems extremely important to the world. I would also like to speak on the prologue. While not part of the primary section of the book I I quite enjoyed the prologue, and how well it was written, primarily with the dialogue. The mystery prologue introduces two unnamed characters who simply have a deep discussion about infinity in a sort of morality context whilst the imaginary again paints a great picture. While throughout the book I have enjoyed the dialogue this prologue truly exemplifies the significance of simple deep conversations that I find lack in many modern works of fiction. I wish I had cirtiques but I feel I am unqualified to give any, overall, I am enjoying this book so far.
- Bain_Druie369Royal Road★★★★ 4.0The writing starts out very strong, then tapers off a bit. The dialogue seems natural, the characters intriguing, the description of the landscape really well executed. I do think it’s confusing to continue referring to characters by their positions (the sitting man) or shape (the angular man) rather than naming them, but it’s overall lovely work. Would read more!
