The worldbuilding is fascinating and unique, the characters are engaging and grow believably, the plot makes sense in hindsight but is difficult to predict. All in all, I find it a very enjoyable read, and have reread it more than once.
You should, however, be aware of a few things that you might well see as a negative if you're not willing to embrace them:
    1) Sex. Slime tentacle sex, in fact! It's not the point of the story, but it's there, and not always all that motivated by the story, either.
    2) Slow build-up. Patience will serve you well with this story.
    3) Traumatic stuff happens. Seriously. Some parts are truly hard to read. The character's reactions to these events do a lot to make the whole story more real, but only if you keep reading. Sometimes the good guys lose, but if you want a happy ending, it depends where you stop the story.

The first arc is done. The review, therefore, is for this part of the story.
The beginning doesn´t tell one much but shows a lot and it grows with the MC that starts as a slime but doesn´t stay that way. We accompany them on their journey to understand and learn from their environment, acquire new skills, and even companions.
The wonder and misunderstandings of how the world functions and their will to thrive and go on making it not only entertaining and fun to read but also forms a connection with the character.
At the end of the first arc, the main character and their party have grown and even if the end of the first arc isn't all sunshine and roses with a fair share of salt it was really enjoyable and I'm looking forward to what this story will grow into.
The characters are well made,  not flat or shallow, and their motivations are understandable and reasonable. It is quite heartwarming sometimes to watch the MC grow and wonder about the customs of society and nature with the nature of an intellectual that tries to find out how something works and is at the same time still a child due to their unique situation. Even for the side characters that don´t seem so important, we get them described and shown as full characters not just as the function they serve for the story or seem to have.
The salt at the end is the reason for 4.5 in story score but knowing other works of the author this will be used as fuel for more character growth. Therefore I'm really looking forward to the next arc of this story.
The world seems to be a mixture of a  Terry Pratchett- aesque, real-world and Game-world´s. It has strange and hilarious creatures, mundane animals and its fair share of magic and wonder.

The direction for this story went in a different way than I expected for story, characters, pretty much most things. Overall, it's because of these deviations that my interest in the book was held until the latest chapters. The plot developments can easily alienate some readers however and I'll say a bit more on that.
STYLE: It's pretty great especially how the author writes the characters' mental state. You can really feel for the characters and the problems they're dealing with.
GRAMMAR: Needs some work especially the earlier chapters. Awkward phrasing and missing words are present enough for me to take notice and I usually don't. It does get better in later chapters but they're still present.
STORY: Alright, here comes the story. I know there are y'all out there who complains about things being too easy and there being no stakes in these erotic harem stories, I see it all the time. Well, things aren't as easy for our group here to say the least so y'all should be happy if you're consistent.
At the end of season 1, the MC almost dies and one of the haremettes gets manipulated by an evil warlock to aid him in enslaving the entire plane. The group has to flee with their tails between their legs off the plane while being hunted down. A huge L in pretty much every aspect.
It takes quite a while for our group to get a decent strength level and a sense of security. To get this strength there's also a intensive training arc where there's some character development but might also be pretty boring if you don't like training arcs.
CHARACTERS: The MC and his girls are great. They're distinct and banter off each other well. Our slime MC is notable for behaving quite uncharacterically to other monster MCs and not just by being a goody two shoes.  Any sacrifices the story makes in progressing smoothly it makes up by giving the characters much needed depth. Something that is usually lacking in these kind of stories.
All of these things makes for a very enjoyable story if unconve

I really enjoyed this story and am sad to see that I am caught up. For stories that get posted frequently (like this and The Gamer for example), I usually read it and then don't continue even when there're updates. I enjoyed this so much, I think I will continue reading it when you update it, it's just really good.
While the concept isn't original in the slightest, you do it really well with many twists and turns to the formula. The characters are believable and likable (or unlikable) with good motivation and goals. You have set it up well to be able to continue for a long time to come and with such an interesting story I can see it going far. The sex is much more tame and it is more of a story with the occasional erotic moments instead of an erotica with a good story. All in all, I really enjoy this and am looking forward to seeing what you do with it. :)

A beautiful story about love and learning. The relationship between the MC and the main heroine is well established and cute(
    Spoiler: Spoiler
it developes gradually from him just enjoying her presence to deciding his gender in order to match with her and commenting that he might have developed differently if she didn't look like a girl
    )
The way the world works and is structured is very interesting and unlike anything I've seen.
One issue it has is that the arguing in tree dungeon came out of nowhere without any hint(that I noticed at least) that one of them had such strong opinions about morality and such.

the author does a great job of putting enough details to paint a picture, without overloading the reader with unneeded details. world building gets intruduced fairly evenly throughout, with few immuration breaking info dumps. i look forward to the seeing how the story continues and evolves.

If You Have Read The GAMER:
Well you dont need me to say what to expect, but yes it is just as good. Dont read this review and start the story instead and trust the author.
If You have NOT read The GAMER:
The stroy starts about a slime who slowly gets more powers. But, dont think it s just that, the scope rapidly expands and more characters are introduced after a few chapters. Once the pace picks up there is so much to love about the story.
The characters are very distinct and likeable. The antagonist is not generic bad guy and is well developed. The characters have an actual world view and stay true to their personalities. The plot is interesting and at times heart breaking. The choices made by the characters have consequences. And alsthough there are some bad things happining to the protagonists, I think there story conveys that it is not the end and there is a sense of optimism. The world building kics in the middle of Volume 1 and is pretty good, but super detailed right now. The slime powers are well though out and interesting to use in combat. The lewd scenes are a highlight if you are into monster/slime lewds.
Overall I reccomend this story, go read it. And then read The GAMER to get much much more.

Enjoyable read about a slime whos more human than most humans. It's a bit jarring how un-slime like the MC is. Personally I think the story hindered its potential by making it so smutty and romance focused. Especially in book 2 where I lost complete interest.
The world-building is really cool with multiple dimensions and gods not interfering. I really enjoyed book 1, but book 2 I ended up skip-reading.

The story itself I think is a very imaginative and creative one with multiple ideas that I love like the main character and his adaptability and the unique take on a world tree. I love this story so much that I finished it all in a day or two. There are some sex scenes but they are in their own chapters with a warning in the title so you can easily skip them if you want. I have a complaint or two as it can take slightly too long in some areas while blitzing through others. It is also not a story that you can skim-read through which isn't a complaint but can get clunky when you are tired.
This story is very special to me as It was the first story I read on this site and was the reason I joined and gained so much joy and wonder from the stories on here.
