Description
Zachary Trenner is a freshman at Burlington High School. Despite his mundane appearance and advanced course curriculum, something strange is happening to him. Every time he goes to sleep he switches worlds.
Portals are popping up everywhere, allowing access between Earth and the world of Vera. Now he must spend every waking and sleeping moment getting stronger to fight off the [Instance Dungeons] opening on both Vera, and Earth.
Prepare for an RPG fiction full of magic, action, a touch of romance, and the author's own dry humor.
When the modern technology of Earth meets the medieval magic of Vera, which culture will invade the other world first? When the army rangers of the United States collide with the members of the Hunter's Guild, who will win?

Tips to reading:
This is my first book, so cliches and tropes are used as the base and then expanded upon. My intention is to make it a casual read but deep if you decide to look closer. I'm not a people person, so my focus and purpose for writing this is to explore the world building and magic system, not necessarily the characters. There won't be a villian until the postgame ;)
Author's philosophy:
I took an professional personality inventory (through a community college back in 2018) and was categorized as a "double-checker." I'm never satisfied with the work that I complete, and never want to share it with anyone. But this book is a challenge to myself! As a rule of thumb, I will only add to the story. I can't remove elements I've already included (unless absolutely, absolutely necessary).
PS, I'm a native English speaker.

- SnekekRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This is a great story so far, but the chapter schedule is a little wonky. No grammar mistakes I've noticed and the world building is okay. Chapters are nice and long, and the characters look good and sound human. I'm happy I found this book, all in all a pretty good read!
- MASS GamerRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Honestly, I don't want to write this review because I don't feel like spending time writing a proper one. I'm only writing this so the author doesn't get discouraged and stop writing, so instead I'll write my thoughts on it.
Great. Rough around the edges and definitely could be better. A few spelling and grammar errors here and there, but nothing that impedes the reading. It's a little early to speak about character development, but at least characters aren't two dimensional already. The style's nice and fits well with the plot and story. Not a unique premise, but definitely throws a few twist in there that make it feel new. In general, above average at its lowest and pretty dang good at its highest, but it still needs work and a little more time to develop.
Just don't get discouraged, your book is amazing.
Umm, more words to fill in the 200 required words. Still need more words. He's going for speed. He's racing and pacing and ploting his course. He's going the distance, he's going for speed. All alone, all alone in his time of need. Lyrics to a good song that are like 60% accurate at most. I'm going to copy this paragraph if this sentence doesn't put me over. - The One Who ReadRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I like the dynamics between the world where the mc has to manage. But I have to ask tho, is the pace going to pick up? I mean its 300+ pages and still the first week since the mc found out about his ability. If you play it right tho it can be top 10 story in this site I personally think. You have so much to play around...the system, 2 world worth of politics not including once the portal became public and people get their own power perhaps? So many factions in the making...I hope you the best Author!
- anan474Royal Road★★★★★ 4.5A bit usual portal story with very good execution. Pretty though out character and interesting magic system. This early and I'm already hoping for more in deep world building. A good mixing up worlds is hard to write, so I'm going to stick to looking how this story will turn up.
- Cranium9Royal Road★★★★ 4.0It has fantastic writing and interesting system with an mc that clearly says they play a lot of games. Yet they are an idiot they ignore half the options barely touch magic and then to top it all off is a blabbermouth. He tells anyone who will listen that he's from another world or alludes to it.
- bumblookRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0The first chapters are good enough to get you hooked. Very interesting. Good premise. The main character is human and relatable. I mean, who likes doing homework?
The problem I have with this story is the consistency. Although author has mentioned himself that he has problems with it, he should put more effort into it as I have spotted atleast 1 inconsistency every chapter. Usually, the author forgets to add the small things that make up the numbers.
That doesn't mean much since I am still at chapter 4, but my point stands. The thing is, the chapter was already revised but the error stuck.
Grammar could use a little improvement as well. The writing is perfectly understandable even with the occasional problem of misspelling and improper usage of phrases or terms.
Overall, good story. Will update my review as I read more chapters.(Probably)
Note to author: I'm sorry about only picking up the flaws. I'm not very good at highlighting the good parts so I'll leave that to the other reviews. Just know that this is all in good intention and I am always happy to help. May you continue to improve as you write and more importantly, enjoy doing what you love. - Forrest AndarRoyal Road★★★ 3.0I like the overall story, but the writing style and the dialogue is very awkward. It feels like English might not be the author's first language. I am reminded of a few books I've read which were written in Russian, then translated to English, or written in English by a Russian speaker. I'll keep reading for now. Good Luck!
- alcelaphinaeRoyal Road★★ 2.0I was about to like it but some features constantly get stabbed me in my guts that i couldn't help but drop it.
For summary: No plot so far, no big picture. Characters are 1d, they are only responding, you could not differenciate them from eachother. There is no struggle, no consequences.
For detail:
First of all... main character is 15 y/o so i can understand his naivity. His decisions might seem unpleasand, and stupid. I can accept that -even if there isn't bad consequences for his bad/stupid decisions-. But whole worldbuilding, side-characters, etc. too much naive. They are as naive and cliche as chinese wuxia young masters. Our prime bully is trying to get revenge for his humiliation with "dodgeball". I mean... we are talking about united states' schools. Ppl shooting each other there. Bullies are high-leved there that if you bullied you might need therapy to get better but dodgeball?? c'mon...
And other things like knight's, receptionis (aka. mayor's daughter's) acts. They are so weird and alien, author needs writing experience in these areas, not writing like these and getting apploud in comments. They are not gonna help you. And what about these scientists? I can't even tell...
Consequently, mc is 15 years old adolescent but whole world acts like adolescent too. Moreover, mc's childish decisions always justified someway. He should make much more serious and real mistakes with these decisions and struggle with consequences. - RarylithRoyal Road★★ 2.0The "tutorial" part was litrpg and fun. Then out the litrpg tag and it became gamelit... now after several chapter i think the gamelit will disappear soon.
Also the idea of talking aboyt his dream is beyond stupid, so much that the mc that i thought was intelligent enough lost all it's appeal in my eyes. - fegzzxcRoyal Road★★ 1.5i will simple word like that you will understand the overall of the story MC is stupid got to go in some world but keep thinking it's just a game and go back to school like nothing happen , then you got some chapter about scientist but we do not know what are their help in the story Author write chapter time to time about the but iy's like if noramlly a sort of black all pop of nowhere and they know nothing about it but the MC is already in another world seriously .make some sens and with the chapter lenght it don't help just keep the torture of reading the story whitout knowing what is happening
